Don't fvck with a jedi master.
Quoted from finnflash:I hope it is TCM and that someone would take my Halloween in trade for it.
Hmmm... Turner Classic Movies could have a wide variety of assets to choose from. I'd have to see it first though.
I want Friday the 13th but the rights have been complicated so I can't see that happening this year. I'll totally take Texas Chainsaw though!

A Stihl Chainsaw with every game purchase. !
I'd like to see a house sculpt that you fire through the back door and get an epic "LOOK WHAT YOUR BROTHER DID TO THE DOOR" callout.

The rights thing is supposedly over with.
I’d like a TCM. Would rather support Spooky.
They say they are doing the production run differently this time.
I would hope so. Figure out the right mix of “LE” and “CE”.
Call it something different because it’s neither of the above.
Scooby and Halloween have been excellent HUO fun pins for me. Could care less about the tournament elites that don’t like the layouts.
Quoted from PanzerKraken:The rights thing is supposedly over with.
Sadly, it’s still kind of a mess. We’ll see where they take the new Crystal Lake show. Maybe something cool will be at TPF.
Quoted from Pinhead_:Halloween seems really fun in videos, haven't seen a single one on location sadly.
I own Halloween, Scooby, and Rick & Morty. I enjoy them all but the pin my wife and I play the most is Halloween. The recent code/sound updates have made it especially good.

Licensing for F13th has been ongoing once again with tons of new merch, toys, games coming out. Henry Manfredini also stated a new video game is in the works and he's involved in it. The case is long over now, so it's basically all steam ahead on the licensing front. The issue would be exactly what is being covered in said license and who gets paid. Is it using content/assets from the first film? Then it involves Miller. If it's using sequel assets and content, then Miller gets nothing. The TV show is in the works so the rights thing is passed mainly, there will be some hiccups though but this is no different from many other horror franchises. Texas Chainsaw is the same issue, with different films belonging to different owners, the new video game made and similarly the new board games can only use one movie from one IP holder.
Evil Dead has had similar issues in the past with different owners.
If they want to make F13th happen, they can

Thats kinda crazy TBH if you get out. Its badass!

All 3 are great games to play. We have Scooby and Halloween. They get the most play in the house. We seek Rick and Morty out when we’re looking for new venues.
Yeah it's a shame, I haven't seen a single spooky game on location around my area yet.
Granted, I typically don't go on the hunt to just play a single game, so maybe there are and I just haven't dialed in on it yet.
....To bring things full circle though, if TCM comes out, there will be one in my area. My place.
Looney Toons reskin of Scooby? Sure!
Anyone know why Luke didn't stream last Thursday? Hope he does tonight.
Bug took a week off last week while on vacation with family. He did a live stream with Charlie live from Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. He's just back today and I haven't talked with him yet, but I think he'll try to get back to streaming tonight.
PS: There are two Luke's here, myself and SpookyLuke, but Bug is not one of them.

Nice to know! Names were never my strong suit. I was gonna put Bug too..
Halloween is pretty fun, I’ve only played it a few times but I didn’t get all the hate it was given. The light and sound shows are really immersive making some really cool pinball moments. I’m sure a lot of that was missing on release and flow being in vogue probably worked against it.
I look forward to see what comes next.

I don't get it either. That game is beautiful, and really fun. The fact spooky is also updating it constantly and listening to feedback is top tier.
Quoted from Roostking:Thats kinda crazy TBH if you get out. Its badass!
It IS crazy. Get to a lot of pinball venues...generally bars but a few family friendly locations. Spooky is just hard to find out there. When they are there, however, they seem to be being played fairly consistently. Definitely had long waits to get to Halloween and Scooby on location until we got our own. Pinmaps is great for finding machines on location!
Does Spooky have Jaws license?
I’m hearing callouts in Scooby that make me think of jaws.”we’re going to need a bigger van”

All indication is NO. Jaws will most likely be Stern’s next cornerstone game.

lol I would love for Spooky to have Jaws just to see the collective meltdowns

Since Jaws is a dream theme for me, I’d also be cool with Spooky having the license. IMO they completely nailed Scooby. I have no doubt they’d do a great job on Jaws. Then again, Elwin is reportedly on Jaws…so I’m totally cool with that. I just want someone to do a kickass job on my dream theme. I already have a spot in my gameroom reserved for it.
Was lucky enough to see a preview screening of SAW X last night/this morning. As a huge SAW fan and horror fan in general, I love the movie, it definitely gets SAW back on track to the better entries of the franchise.
I kept thinking while watching like I have done with previous entries thinking SAW would make such a killer theme for pinball.
Come on Spooky, the theme is perfect for you guys, Tobin Bell has all the clips ready for you “I want to play a game”, “hello….#insert name#”, “Game over” get him to do some custom speech and it would all kinds of awesome.
There are a tonne of traps from the movies that could be made into awesome playfield mechs and the music lends itself well to pinball especially hurry ups.
Absolute day 1 buy from me.

We do a lot of fan wank on here about dream themes and stuff, but Saw would be a phenomenal property for a pinball machine. Toys and mechs for days. You hit the start button, and of course… “I want to play a game.”

Exactly! When it comes to horror and pinball no other horror theme is more perfect for pinball than SAW.
And the really cool thing about it, I spoke with Tobin Bell (John Kramer/Jogsaw) at a couple of U.K. events (comic con and for the love of horror) 3-5 years ago and both times I mentioned Pinball too him he replied he would love to bring John/Jigsaw to more forms of media, especially something that could interactive with the viewer/player.
Just needs to be done asap! As Tobin is 80 something now.
I need to see a captive ball with a reverse bear trap on.
Wish more games went the route of personifying the ball itself.
I can also see them putting Jason's mom's outfit on a pinball for a toy and call out "Kill for mother!"

You could do the bear trap as a ball lock, use the dropping magnet mech from TOTAN? (Metallica) have the ball locked on the magnet bear trap mech goes snap and the ball either vanishes by being pulled down into the playfield or have the game with a kick out behind or in the trap that kicks another one out as if the balls split into two.
Quoted from J85M:the ball either vanishes by being pulled down into the playfield or have the game with a kick out behind or in the trap that kicks another one out as if the balls split into two.
Think it'd work nice as a one ball lock that lights a find shot mode for the "Key" which then allows you to hit the "trap" again to start a 2 ball MB.
Alternatively, Could work like the oxygen detonator does in Godzilla but as an outlane bonus instead of a ballsave.
Outlane lit and drained (LCD displays you grabbing the key or something from the 1st movie), ball kicks from behind trap toy captive and autoplunges one, hit the trap in 10 seconds and start a 2 ball MB.

I don't know man...I'm not that good at pinball. Losing a ball and losing a limb just doesn't appeal to me.
hehehehehheheheheh
I think we have some cool features in this game you guys will like, especially the combo collect cash in/bet on next shot system.
That, and the Ben Heck Promise that my LCD will never resemble an eye exam.

Nice idea, that’s the beauty of SAW a lot of ideas work and can be played with, seems like a perfect fit for Spooky and the new movie is great.

Saw wasn't even on my radar until now. That really could be a great pinball. Looking forward to the movie!

A big talking Billy head in the playfield, like No Fear, and Freddy, would be amazing. "I want to play a game"
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, artwork by Jason Edmiston, Leatherface/skin material body and backbox, external speakers on the bottom that plays the old bulb/photo sound and red under-lighting, chainsaw topper

Flesh bound MDF. Mmmmm.
