Quoted from mpdpvdpin:I’ve kind of been hoping that Stern would do The Simpsons: treehouse of horror as a TSPP vault. But I would pumped if Spooky did it instead, PERFECT PERFECT THEME.
That would sell out in the first day just like R&M did...so would Evil Dead. I would come in and buy either of those two games for sure.
Quoted from Rarehero:It came out around the same time as Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Pee-Wee...just like those 80s movies, Goonies made an impact that was iconic - and it’s been kept alive by parents showing it to their kids.
Not sure it would work as a pin tho - most of the dialog is characters talking over each other like an Altman movie.
The goonies, good enough to finish... not enough to ever watch again or recommend.
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:Must be spaceballs!! If it is I am i !!
If spooky goes into space, isnt galaxy quest the theme to beat?
Fun, goofy and missionbased in a pinball suitable way?

Funny, I just watched this movie three weeks ago for the first time in at least 20 years. Was a great 90’s movie and it has aged well. Not iconic enough to get its own pin 25 years later.

Not if they can't get Sigourney Weaver rights
Am I asking too much for five nights at freddys? I mean really. One of the best selling horror game series.

By people who would never pay 8k for a pinball machine, and probably not play it on site either. Not saying it wouldn't be a cool theme for the pin though.

No, Event Horizon would be better.
Sooo...it’s DEFINITELY Goonies then? Haha
Quoted from benheck:I'm not gonna read this whole thread just to see if it's been mentioned! And I wouldn't even if I did
It's not Goonies. God damn Goonies. Does that theme have any appeal outside Gen X? Yeah I know we're the ones buying pins but a zoomer at a bar is gonna be like "Goonies? Like, what the eff is that? Totes not on fleek"
I mean Pinside willed Munsters into existence by typing it one zillion times. (See also Iron Maiden) So I dunno. Wait for Deep poop to fold and maybe somebody else will grab it? Won't be Stern though.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Sooo...it’s DEFINITELY Goonies then? Haha
Isn’t the Goonies license confirmed to be with either American Pinball or Deep Root (I can’t recall which of those two it was confirmed to be held by)?

Derp claims to have it, but we can’t believe anything they say or have any faith they’ll even be able to produce 1 game let alone the 20 others they’ve announced.

Ain’t that the truth. Well said
Quoted from kciaccio:No, Event Horizon would be better.
Pandorum or event horizon would mean 18+.
Event horizon allthough great idea, bad execution.
It's also one of thoose few movies that should be sensored due to TAA manipulation.
Quoted from jellikit:Mike Tyson Mysteries.

haha, as long as they could get custom callouts from Tyson and Pidgeon yes!!
Quoted from chad:From what I'm reading, it's going to be big....
You Mean BIG, as in the Tom Hanks Movie ?
Kaneda has some rumours coming on his podcast soon. I suspect later tonight? I have no idea when he does his podcast, if they are scheduled of impromptu

Still, Galaxy Quest is probably the 3rd or 4th BEST Star Trek movie ever made.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Take it for what it is worth.

Well...okay.

It's aged better than all of them. Infinitely re-watchable.
Quoted from gonzo73:You know..... I feel pretty good about this announcement.
.yeah......me too!

Hell Yes!!!
As Jack Burton always says, "aw what the Hell"
+1 for this. You got good taste man.

I love how Maggie was kicking ass in the Tempest arcade game at the beginning of movie. LOL

My guess is Beetlejuice.
Stern designers were offered it, but declined, so license was up for grabs.
Big enough theme to sell 1000.

I hope not. I'm hoping for a horror theme.

I may be in the minority, but I'd buy a FNAF pin.

Beetlejuice is a horror/comedy so I’m guessing it’s not that ? To me that was what I was expecting.
Ben said it’s not Goonies, it’s not Spaceballs as that’s a comedy, it’s not Scooby Doo as that’s a TV show... that leaves the following strongest remaining talked about “rumor spooky pins” :
Evil Dead
Night of The Living Dead
Friday The 13th
I think a new:
Nightmare on Elm Street
Gremlins
Little Shop of Horrors
JAWS
would also be perfect for Spooky pinball.

So, you're saying there is a chance...
