Quoted from pin2d:It's like pinball Christmas today!
Borrowed Doc's Deloreon to see the future.... and it won an interesting award for "Dual Game Release Games of The Year" during 2021 TWIPY awards.
2021_TWIPY_AWARDS_SPOOKY_HALLOWEEN (resized).pngIt's too bad these weren't ready to show at MGC Lite this past weekend, coulda doubled their attendance.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:ZOMG Spooky, why is it so hard to import your games (CE certification), I want Ultraman!!! >_<;
We are looking into this. Can't say for sure when it will be satisfied. Hang tight.
Quoted from psexton:Any thoughts on why 3 hedges? Seems like one hedge would have made more of an impact and would help you recall the one main hedge scene in the movie.
So essentially the hedges are like a cool whack a mole game. Michael pops out and you shoot the shot. He comes out at random at any of the 3 locations!
So will the code be interchangable between the models? Can you load Ultraman on a Halloween for a change of pace?
Quoted from SpookyLuke:So essentially the hedges are like a cool whack a mole game. Michael pops out and you shoot the shot. He comes out at random at any of the 3 locations!
That is brilliant !

You should coin the phrase on the flyer "Whack-A-Michael"
I gave up an Indiana Jones pinball adventure for this day.
Obviously made the right choice !!!!!
Holy moly,what great looking pins.
Way to go Spooky im on the band wagon late with a Rob zombie I bought a few months back, but I’m a huge fan of your pins now !! Must own them all.
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:Wow both games look great!
How long does Spooky estimate it’ll take to build 1750 games?
18 months!
Quoted from benheck:.... It could still be SCOOBY-DOO?
Silly me thought this was going to end, thanks Ben!
Quoted from benheck:.... It could still be SCOOBY-DOO?
Based off this thread I will say....My money is on next dual release :
Evil Dead
&
Scooby Doo
*Edit they will need to top this; hard to do. So I say triple release (simply make each one one CE trim level limited to 666 units per theme (*Scooby 668 which would be collectively 2000 total units):
Evil Dead
Scooby Doo
&
Beetlejuice
Quoted from benheck:.... It could still be SCOOBY-DOO?
Game version 3 is Scooby Doo ???? 3 titles in one day???
Quoted from benheck:.... It could still be SCOOBY-DOO?
lmao maybe someday but until then I’m all good
What we really need is a jack danger style gameplay session on at least one of the themes before buying.
The two theme reveal is amazing and they look great from an art standpoint. But that’s never been Spooky’s problem.
It would be awesome to get some visuals on how the shots work before putting down the $$ on something. One can dream anyway.
I am not hot for the rule set on this, I’m afraid to say. No Bowen on rules hurts bigtime. Plus...having no clear identity as the player is rough, youre not MM you’re not a victim. Help Michael escape, Help Laurie escape, help Michael find a victim, help a victim escape. Feel like it will be hard to immerse yourself in the gameplay on this one.

What is the pro/con of ordering from someone like PinballStar vs. directly from Spooky?
*edit* Hopefully I didn't spend too much time whinging about stupid shit earlier and got signed up for the club in time. Heh. That's my own damn fault.
holy crap this is mindblowing.
and the topper! the shooter rod! the hedge toy! the levels! the playfield drops!!!
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
"Follow directions and shoot lit shots to help Michael get victims or help Laurie Strode escape!"
I wonder if this is like a choose your own adventure? Or are you either depending on which mode you're in?

Halloween and Ultraman
Who's getting both??
Pinside "flippers"
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Feel like it will be hard to immerse yourself in the gameplay on this one.
I hope/imagine music will go a long way in that department.
Quoted from finnflash:Will there be photos of each model before sales are open?
Yes! Doing our best to keep up. We made CE's to show off first.
Quoted from mrclean:Pinside "flippers"
Or, perhaps, pinsiders with extremely poor impulse control…
Quoted from metallik:So let me ask the big question: will these be like FGY/Shrek where you can load the code for either theme on either game?
Maybe a wink-wink loophole that they can't admit or officially support for license reasons.
Quoted from Rarehero:Ultraman looks amazing!
Wow. Which to get?!?!
As someone who's never seen Halloween or Ultraman, I prefer the look of the Halloween pin. However, I could see preferring Ultraman overall if they go Batman 66 style with the LCD presentation.
I realize this is probably unlikely because my expectation is handle the LCD the same way with swapped assets.

And you're not the only one asking that question. Flip of a coin?
I’m out on both, ya’ll have fun though. Not to be rude but I’m not sure how much I trust Bug as rule-meister. From the rules I’ve read I’m anticipating dissatisfaction from serious pinball players. Collectors should absolutely go nuts on these though. If you LOVE Halloween DO IT. If you LOVE Ultraman DO IT. If you love deeply coded games with complex rulesets...if you love PINBALL. Maybe not. I’m happy to have joined the fan club and I’ll always have my eye on future Spooky games. For now... I’ll lay in wait for my Army of Darkness CE

Ya'll know we have Bowen here right? He'll be consulting.

I guess it's a good thing Eric and bowen are still consulting on rules

I am not worried re. Ruleset.
AND I am looking forward to not having to read any more of your comments...
so, Win/Win.
