Whatever it is they sure look confident .Can’t wait to see what it is personally hoping for FR13th but am open to other titles .I need a spooky in the lineup soon .It’s very easy to root for Spooky I wish them nothing but the best .

Quoted from Betelgeuse:It won't be Evil Dead/Army of Darkness.
I hope it isn't next, but after that. If they weren't sure if the demand was there, they should be now.
Quoted from lpeters82:It was announced that Ben Heck was producing a title in conjunction with Spooky and Chicago Gaming Company. Seems logical that this would be a potential second game. Are people expecting more then a Spooky title and a Spooky / Chicago Gaming Company / Ben Heck title?
[quoted image]
I swear in the DR thread he said it was 1 game, then his collab but don't quote me.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:For Spooky’s second pin this year would I rather see TNA2 or a new title? Scooby-Doo or Beatlejuice or Scary Movie or Peewee’s Playhouse, have been denied as first release of 2021. Could one of them be Spooky’s second pin?
I don’t think it will be TNA2 as Scott recently said the remake is a long way away.
Quoted from lpeters82:It was announced that Ben Heck was producing a title in conjunction with Spooky and Chicago Gaming Company. Based on Ben's previous comments about Evil Dead that seems to be a logical guess. It seems as thought we'll be getting that game, plus a game from Spooky? I don't think they would be teasing of "more better" if it were TNA 2.0; though TNA is still my favorite Spooky title to date.
Yup, much more likely the Heck/CGC/Spooky pin could be Evil Dead or Beetlejuice. That's probably still a while out. That's part of why I don't believe Evil Dead will be the upcoming Spooky game. Charlie seems like more of a Texas Chainsaw or Universal Monsters type of guy anyway, if going the horror movie route at all.
Dumb question thats probably been answered but why wouldn't they remake Rick and Morty later this year if its a known seller?
They just said on their Facebook that the announcement will be an email blast to fang members. Hoping its not something horror other than maybe The Shinning or It but I'll probably buy whatever it is...
An idea I just had; That 70s show.
Quoted from Zablon:I swear in the DR thread he said it was 1 game, then his collab but don't quote me.
That seems correct. A Spooky game and a collaboration game.

I forgot to mention Universal Monsters. A classic monster mashup game could be amazing, but I'd settle for The Mummy or Dracula.
Because the license was for 750 games. Limited, that would REALLY piss off their buyers to attempt to renew.

Charlie has said this would never happen. The only cavoite he left was saying they would produce a brand new Rick & Morty game before they would ever create more then 750 of the original.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Because the license was for 750 games. Limited, that would REALLY piss off their buyers to attempt to renew.
I guess if you think of them as a financial investment rather than a game it makes sense. I'm glad Stern does vault games!
It’s simply a matter of honoring a limited run. It’s dishonest to swear there will only be 750 and then run more. Spooky wouldn’t do that. JJP on the other hand....

also keep in mind when they announced R&M they had an expected timeframe and didn't want to be making the same game for 4 years. Now, they are expanding more, and considering how fast they've been pumping out R&M's they have probably increased manpower, so I expect they will make larger numbers going forward.
I hope neither, TCM is kinda brutal for a pin and Lugosis Dracula? Meh. Really hoping for Army of Darkness here.
Quoted from SLCpunk2113:Is Charlie’s?

Yeah, that would be really off-brand for Spooky. And while I wish they never put the restriction on themselves, I would be far more disappointed by them breaking their word than by them only making the 750 machines.
The only way I see it being Evil Dead is if they are announcing the collaboration game. If that's the case then perhaps Spooky themselves will be moving onto TNA 2.0, while they complete the shop expansion. That's not where I'd put my money, but we shall see. The suspense of this one is killing me. For the first time ever, I'm actually sitting on open spots and some cash in my pinball budget. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting either the next Spooky or CGC remake, assuming they have a "Classic Edition".
Quoted from Hypercoaster:On the Youtube video comments, Spooky clarified that the clue was "Stacked and loaded".
I had no idea Spooky was going to do a porn themed pin. Ballsy.
Stacked and loaded?!
Wasn’t another clue, “beloved by generations,” or something like that?
I have no clue.
Quoted from Hypercoaster:On the Youtube video comments, Spooky clarified that the clue was "Stacked and loaded".
Spooky Guy Fieri pin confirmed!

OK, I LOL'd. 1 Flavortown Multiball, please and thank you!

You know who likes their sandwiches stacked and loaded?
These guys.

So we're getting Food Truck after all, but from Spooky instead. Interesting.

I still have a little hope for Scooby Doo. And they do like their sandwiches stacked and loaded.

While I admire charlie's honesty and sticks to his word, I really wouldn't care if they made more. I didn't buy it because of it's limitedness. I would have bought the game if they made 20k.. I love the theme and the layout.

Maybe that's because I have young daughters at home and a true spooky title would prevent them from ever wanting to play pinball with me.

Sounds stacked and loaded to me!
Was sort of hoping for Scooby, but I like what others have said here…original assets from Evil Dead movies would be awesome but I feel like maybe Spooky is realizing a path toward mainstream themes is the way to grow. True horror-based themes can still be somewhat polarizing to the general public. Scooby is about as mainstream as it gets while still retaining just a hint of creepy-ness.
I would be shocked if it would be themed after any of the universal monsters properties. That’s one of those licenses that universal thinks is still worth boatloads of gold even though the general public could care less about the universal monsters. The only time I ever see anything monsters licensed is when I’m at Universal Studios’ theme park.
I hope that’s not the case, Spooky hit it BIG with a license that Stern would have NEVER picked up (Rick and Morty) They are a small boutique company with good taste in all things left of center. I hope they continue to make what they love instead of of what they hope the general public likes. If they made twice as many Army of Darkness as RAM it would sell out in under a week. Also, I don’t consider the Evil Dead trilogy as true “horror” it’s campy wacky crazy 80’s horror. It’s like...slapstick horror. Perfect for a pin...funny, spooky, corny, gross, the callouts would be INSANE. I do agree Scooby would be awesome and I’d be pumped for that too, but Army of Darkness is my number 1 dream theme.

If they get Bruce Campbell to do the callouts then they can take my money right now. Here’s hoping!
Honestly a good move for spooky would be a “universal monsters” title, the IP would be cheap and every previous universal monsters pin is popular. Whatever spooky comes out with next will sell out so they might as well do what they love.
In case Spooky hasn't been paying attention. Evil Dead themed pin would sell like hotcakes. Make it so

As enjoying the Robocop pin made me go watch Robocop, so the Evil Dead movie will make me watch Evil Dead. As someone who has not watched any of them, which one should I watch?
I started with Evil Dead 2 and laughed my ass off. Favorite movie ever since. It’s not a true sequel, more of a remake. Part 1 is the original low budget, cabin in the woods diy horror flick. But it’s a little too serious for me.
Part 2 is so over the top with the humor and the gore, it’s incredible.

Evil Dead 2 then Army of Darkness, then if you like them Ash vs. Evil dead (TV series 3 seasons). And if you REALLY like them go back and watch Evil Dead 1. The reason being Evil Dead 2 is basically a remake of Part 1, but expanded with more story and just better overall. But Evil Dead 1 was less campy(?) and more low budget horror for the time.
The end of ED2 goes directly into AoD, so I do recommend watching part 2 before AoD.
One other thing to note. There is a 3rd 'remake' in 2013 called Evil Dead. This is not the movie we are talking about. It is not campy, it is straight up horror/gore. It's not bad for what it is, and there's even a short cameo, but it can cause some confusion.
Depends on your tastes but Army of Darkness is a pretty safe bet. If you are into horror, then you should probably just watch them in order. Keep in mind that they get progressively campier and the first one is actually pretty dark imo.

Good to know, I've been meaning to watch Evil Dead for a while now so it's good to know where to start to see what all the fuss is about.

That's a surprisingly great question, because for most movies you should probably just watch them in release order. In this case though, I agree with others, start with Evil Dead II. If you like Evil Dead II then go right into Army of Darkness. Regardless of Spooky's next game you should still watch the movies. Bruce Campbell is an icon.
PS: I also see there is an Evil Dead video game coming out in 2021. That would have been a cool partnership to gain access to some of those new video assets.

Yeah, there's been a handful over the years. This new one is like Left 4 Dead but Evil Dead themed.
Let's not forget about the Evil Dead remake, doesnt really go with the other 3 but is a nice gory film.
I went back and watched AOD and it didn't really hold up to me. Part 2 is great though!
Ash is right up there with Freddy and Jason, and that was almost a movie also.

Yeah, I remember Fistful of Boomstick.
