Not sure, but they may relate to high score replay feature.
Up until now I thought Spooksville was not high score adjustable.
At least on my game, i was previously never able to figure how to adjust the replay scores.
Now I can clearly see how those wires are "attached" to the score reels.
Red,Green, Blue all relate to potential high score replay values (one of three) in order to earn a free game..
One end probably relates to 10,000s the other end of wire relates to the 1,000s
and depending on where the terminal end is placed in the score reel connection slot
one can adjust the high score needed to earn a free game.
Be it 45,000 or 76,000 or 98,000.
Obviously it is impossible to have any two or more high scores have same 1,000s,
unless one can piggyback the terminals.
