I thought I had already posted this here but apparently not. This was the worst Star Wars movie I've seen. It will be the first SW movie that I will not see more than once. Here are most of my issues with it:

Luke was a jerk to Rey for no reason. Luke is a consummate good guy who was going to just kill his nephew? Milking that thing and spearing the fish were dumb. The Porgs are actually smart enough to feel grief about Chewy eating one? Porgs are completely stupid anyway except as an obvious way to sell plush toys. Yoda was a joke. The humor was funny but was not Star Wars humor and mentally took you completely out of the movie. The entire chase was silly. The First Order really couldn't catch them or send someone in front at light speed? If Finn and Rose could escape, why couldn't everyone? Why not light speed through a ship earlier? Why not tell Poe that was your plan? Why not have Leia or Ackbar sacrifice themselves? Why not have Lando be the dude in the cell that helps Finn and Rose? Why would Poe and Finn go to Maz for help? Poe never met her and Finn barely spoke to her. Rose was a boring and wasted character. So was purple hair Laura Dern. They "save" animals that will be recaptured but ignore human slaves? Phasma is a bad ass that is easily defeated by a janitor. We see multiple new force powers out of nowhere. Lightsaber blades touch each other exactly one time...in a flashback. Luke could have actually been there and deflected all those blasts and let Kylo kill him (like Obi-Wan) and that would be much cooler than the punk way he went out and died. Chewy was completely wasted. How did Finn carry Rose a couple miles in about a minute right in front of multiple AT-ATs (or whatever they are now)? Rey could just throw boulders instead of weirdly lifting then all out at the same time in a dangerous and silly way. Snoke could have actually done something cool instead of dying in a stupid way for possibly the strongest force user we've seen on screen. His guards seemed powerful enough to just use lightsabers instead of clearly inferior weapons. Why wouldn't they just change loyalty to Kylo once Snoke was dead? Why wouldn't Kylo just stay on Rey's side? He just jumps back to evil after not killing his mom and all his connections with Rey? The Leia force flight was silly. Why didn't people get sucked out when they opened the huge doors to let her back in? Why was Luke such a jackass and just threw his father's old lightsaber? Jar Jar would have made this movie better. Zero cool lightsaber fights? You suck, Rian Johnson. It should be some indication to your ineptitude that your parents couldn't spell "Ryan".

I just cannot think about this movie without feeling a rage inside me. It is the first Star Wars movie that I saw only once in Theaters and it will be the first Star Wars movie that I will not buy. I will not trust Rotten Tomatoes critic score again. I will not see Episode 9 on opening weekend. I really hope bad things happen to Rian Johnson. It honestly feels like he intentionally wanted to piss people off. They should just scrap this as a disaster and make a good Episode 8.

    #1290 6 years ago
    Quoted from Jam_Burglar:

I can't even fathom how people have high expectations about anything Star Wars related after Episode 1. It was painfully clear after that disaster that the Star Wars we all knew and loved was dead. Episode 2 was just, so, so bad. Episode 3 almost fooled me by being "dark" but over time I realized it was just pandering. The legacy took a nose-dive long before Disney had anything to do with it. I put these new ones somewhere between your average superhero movie and the Hunger Games or Harry Potter franchise. If fine with this though. The most exciting thing about Star Wars to me in the past 25 years has been the Harmy Despecialized versions of the originals. Those are great.

I have hated Episode 1 for years (I stood in line for 15 hours for that crap and then feel asleep during the pod race) but at least it mostly told a cohesive story and told the story you wanted it to. It's flaws were a bunch of annoying characters and bad dialogue. The Last Jedi makes those same flaws with Rose and Laura Dern's character alone and those are far from the worst parts about the movie. I would gladly watch Episode 1, 2 and 3 again before watching TLJ again.

    Quoted from fosaisu:

Have you forgotten the midichlorians?!? Worst idea ever. And clear evidence that 1990s George Lucas was completely out of touch with the magical universe that 1970s George Lucas created. Providing an (extraordinarily lame) clinical explanation for the mysterious, mystical force that permeates the Star Wars universe was far more egregious than whatever's off with TLJ. Still pisses me off 19 years later just thinking about it. Maybe they can retcon it and say that the Jedi Counsel had slipped into a Scientology-esque fascination with bogus pseudoscience, yet another sign of the Republic's decline?

I actually have forgotten the midichlorians...purposely. That is a very stupid idea but easily ignored and forgotten. Snoke and Luke being needlessly dead after doing jack squat is a bit harder to forget.

    Quoted from TigerLaw:

To say those thirty seconds of TPM were worse than anything in Eposide VIII is laughable. The prequels actually ushered in major lore points that have kept the franchise fresh for over fifteen years, Episode VIII just killed off interest in the franchise of previously dedicated fans.

    So much THIS.

Weird..That guy must be a tool, I watched the video agreeing with everything he said but then the video rolled into his last segment which covered the primere and supposedly he had just seen it (I bet he was lying and he hadn't see it yet) and he had nothing but complementary things to say. I was like wtf?

I only watched the video I posted and completely agreed with him. If what you surmise is true--and I think it is--I would say that it is still good that finally someone whom is on a larger media outlet calls out the actual cause of the movie's failure: it sucks.

While I don't agree with his rankings (nobody agrees on this), the beginning of this video confirms your suspicion that he was lying due to a review blackout.

    Quoted from CaptainNeo:

anyone that thinks this movie is anything less than the biggest piece of crap ever written, watch these. It's a step by step review of the entire movie. It's in 3 parts and worth it.
I challenge any of you that thinks this movie has even an ounce of redeeming quality to stand up for it after viewing all 3 parts of this full fledged review.

    Part 2

    Part 3

I listened to this whenever I could non-stop; all the way through the 5 hours. It was so cathartic. It is a beautiful deconstruction of the mess that this film is. Part 3, 39:00-39:25 was very depressing for me. Luke Skywalker himself is feeling my pain, but to an even greater degree. I want to kick Rian in his fucking smug face so bad. The film fan in me wants nothing more than for them to abolish this film as non-canon and make a new one.

I've been reading interviews with Rian Jackass and in response to the backlash he basically says:
    - It is a small portion of fans that responded negatively to TLJ.
    - He has looked back and doesn't think he did anything wrong and wouldn't change a thing about the movie.
    - He had to make Luke they way he did with the set-up he had.
    - People are mostly just upset because their Snoke/Rey/Luke theories weren't correct.

This arrogant ass-clown is just setting himself up for something bad to happen to him from a lonely Star Wars nerd. Thankfully, I finally came out of my shell and met a super-model-looking girl-next-door and had 5 kids with her so it won't be me.

Meanwhile, I was trying to think if there was a way to screw this up worse and I actually think that Rian Jackass intentionally tried to f*** up this trilogy. I don't think there is a way to make this movie worse than he did.

I'm super excited for RP1 movie. It is my favorite book.

    Quoted from HoakyPoaky:

This is true for sure. As I said it won't be the same as the book. But I did read the other day that Spielberg was able to acquire the rights to use every intellectual property he asked for, including Star Wars (Xwings, R2D2, etc). That's pretty exciting if you ask me. Granted changing Ultraman to Iron Giant makes way more sense for the general viewing masses, so I think they should be able to pull it off.

Actually Spielberg was unable to get any SW licensing for the movie so there will be no SW material in it. The Iron Giant is my favorite animated movie and I never watched Ultraman so I am really happy with that change.

*EDIT* Nevermind. Despite initial reports, there will be SW material in RP1. YEAH!

I cringe a little every time I hear a critique of TLJ that includes "SJW" or "feminist". There are so many better and more justifiable reasons to hate this movie. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have a movie with strong female characters and I feel like arguing otherwise makes you not only look like an asshole but also justifies this garbage movie in a way. A better route would be to explain how much they failed at that mission. I don't believe the movie even passes the Bechdel Test. The female characters (heck, ALL of the characters) are weak, one-dimensional, stupid and/or boy crazy and consistently make non-essential, stupid or cringingly forced decisions. The only characters that succeed at anything are Rey (with boring consistency), Luke, Kylo and BB-8. And other than Rey, these "successes" really end up meaning nothing. And no, I am not including Holdo in that because although that scene looks great, it has terrible implications on Star Wars at large and was the "resolution" to a plot that is embarrassingly bad.

I know Solo will fail but I'm sure they will ignore the influence TLJ had on this. If TLJ was a great movie, I'd go see Solo without question; despite the concerns. Now I will never see that crap until I can watch it on Netflix and maybe not even then. I won't go see another Star Wars movie in the theater or purchase it on Digital or Blu-ray until Johnson is gone, Kennedy is gone and Disney admits how terrible TLJ really is.

I am currently in Orlando enjoying Disneyworld but everything Star Wars is from the new trilogy; no OT, no prequels, no RO. What a bunch of crap. But as every Kylo Ren here is wearing a helmet (because they could more easily find a Christopher Walken look-alike than an Adam Driver one), it reminds me of how cool I thought his helmet was and how it pisses me off that Rian Jackass destroyed that, along with Star Wars.

It's good that I live in SD because if I came across Rian Johnson, I would probably just punch him and I don't want to go to jail.

    #1621 5 years ago
    Quoted from Vino:

    You live in SD?
Be happy Disney didn’t pay to have ringleader Katherine Kennedys face on Mt Rushmore yet.

Having been there as many times as I have, I'm pretty over Mount Rushmore and honestly wouldn't care.

    #1629 5 years ago
    Quoted from mrm_4:

Ok so after getting the Blu-ray and trying to watch it again, what I did to make it easier to watch is, after every single line a female says to a male, just add “... with your dumb penis!” to the end of it. It’s brilliantly satisfying and makes you understand what Kathleen Kennedy was trying to go for.

    You actually bought the Blu-ray?

    #1642 5 years ago
    Quoted from Fytr:

Guy uses some pretty unnecessarily offensive language towards women throughout. Guessing he’s never had a relationship with one...

I agree. Without that it is great and having it in there really hurts the credibility of the rant. There is so much to hate about TLJ without being unnecessarily misogynistic.

    #1654 5 years ago
    Quoted from benheck:

Wait... are you on "Team Rogue One Sucks" with me? I thought I was alone!

No, I also did not like Rogue One. But I am an odd one that did like TFA.

    #1655 5 years ago
    Quoted from zr11990:

Everyone has a right to their political views but when they start using their fame to scream it from the roof tops and try to force it on others that is when I stop watching your movies. Ellen Degeneris, sorry about spelling, is gay and so is the guy from Doogie Howser but you never hear them screaming their asses off about it and I respect that and what they do is none of my business but the Judd bitch for example, screaming about her vagina and the blood on her sheets is just insane. Hell every one of their awards program are nothing but contests to see who can on up the other.

Why do I have the feeling that a famous person spouting conservative viewpoints wouldn't bother you so much?

    #1701 5 years ago

I think the trailer looks kind of good...but I thought the same about TLJ trailers too. Never again. I am boycotting everything TLJ, Solo, Episode 9 until Rian Johnson is fired, Kathleen Kennedy is fired and TLJ is removed from canon. As that is unlikely to happen, I will have to get my Star Wars movie kicks from the first 8 films.

The Last Jedi: Defeminized Fan Edit
Ok flame suit on for the SJWs in the crowd. I’m not a misogynist in anyway but if you watch this and don’t agree that it makes the movie go from a 2 to 7.5 you’re Kathleen Kennedy.
Watch the whole thing before you start bitching if you plan on crying about this. But the fact that there is so much agenda shoved down your throat in this movie that this opportunity even presented itself says something.
    Leia’s death scene done right.
    No porgs!
    No stupid humor!
    Practically no Rose!
    Casino scene gone!
    What a great movie!!!
Same post twice just to carry it over to page 36. I wanna hear opinions on this and not have it lost because of the page break haha
Watch it before it gets pulled!

I'm not sure why it is titled like it is. I would post it on Facebook but I have always disliked the "SJW" or "feminist" critique of TLJ. It has plenty of horrible things about it besides any attempts (failed) to have strong female characters. Overall this cut reduces just about everyone's impact in the film besides Poe so I actually think the title of "defeminized" is a little off.

Overall, I really liked it! I thought Luke's and Ren's interactions with Rey were much better. All of the stupid crap was cut out. Snoke escaping not only makes more sense for how powerful he is but also set's up a nice antagonism between he and Kylo. Also, it makes the red guards attacking them make a lot more sense. If Snoke were dead, it should be a "the king is dead, long live the king" situation. Leia's death was actually touching because of Carrie Fischer's death. I wasn't happy that Phasma and Luke still died, however. I suppose there probably wasn't a good way to use the available footage to have Luke live unless you keep his Force Projection and just don't have him die. I am also not thrilled that Poe died but I supposed it adds weight to the movie and didn't bother me that much. The ability to weaponize lightspeed is still an issue but oh well.

For what was available, this edit is amazing. It is a bit rough in some of the cuts but that is expected. Bravo.

    #1764 5 years ago

The prequels had some annoying characters and bad dialogue. TLJ ruined Star Wars. It isn't even close.

    #1767 5 years ago

I personally really liked both Episode 3 and TFA. I am easy to please. Give me any two of interesting characters, good plot or awesome action sequences and I'll love it. The OT had all three. The prequels and TFA had two. Rogue One had one, sort of. TLJ had zero.

Solo looks awful. I am thinking about seeing Infinity War or Deadpool 2 again and then sneaking into it so I don't give Disney any money for it. The other two movies are great and what Disney has done with Marvel is amazing. Kathleen Kennedy and Rian Johnson fucked Star Wars.

This video is so spot on. I am sick and tired of hearing that not liking the abomination that is The Last Jedi means that you don't like strong female characters. This deflection is unacceptable. Rian Johnson made a turd of a movie. I wish Disney would acknowledge this and remove it from canon. I will note that the video unfortunately excluded the Jurassic Park/World series (remember that all of the dinosaurs are female) and Willow (the greatest women-are-badass movie of all time; sorry Aliens for your second place).

Perhaps it is my own myopia but I believe people just like me are largely responsible for Solo's poor performance. I am a big Star Wars and movie fan. I frequently go to big movies on opening night and go hours early to get good seats. And I also invite my 5-6 buddies to go with me. Then I go see it again. Then I take my kids to it. If I don't go, my buddies don't go. They like movies but I am the driving force that actually gets them to these big movies on opening weekend; otherwise they'd wait until it is in the budget theater or out on Blu-ray. If I don't go, my kids don't go. Oh, I have 5 kids. Five of us went to TLJ together. If it was as good as it should have been, I would have gone again and again with my kids (Just like I did with TFA, The Avengers, etc). They got 5 tickets out of me when it should have been 12. Fool me once...For Solo, they got zero. For Episode 9, they get zero...and so forth until TLJ is removed from canon and it is guaranteed that Rian Johnson never makes another SW movie. I also won't buy either TLJ or Solo in any sort of media when I happily bought TFA on Blu-Ray. I am fucking pissed and I will speak with the only voice I have: my money.

I finally saw Solo in a way that gave Disney no money and I actually liked it a lot. It didn't really feel like a Star Wars movie and Alden Ehrenreich was worse than Anthony Inguber would have been but overall I enjoyed my time watching it. That just further proves that its failure was due to TLJ, the worst movie of all time.

    #2559 5 years ago
    Quoted from girloveswaffles:

"A Wrinkle in Time" says "Hold my beer!".

In a vacuum are there worse movies? TONS. Did any of those crap movies ruin the best movie franchise of all time? NOPE. Only TLJ did that.

Revenge of the Sith is tied with Return of the Jedi as my favorite SW movies. I just really like cool lightsaber battles. *shrug* I put the movies in tiers like Smash Brothers.

    Top tier - RotJ, RotS
High Tier - ANH, TESB, TFA
Middle tier - RO, Solo, AotC
    Low tier - TPM
    Shit tier - TLJ

I consider everything Middle and up to be "good" movies that I have/will rewatch multiple times. Maybe I'm not too picky?

TLJ isn't the worst movie I've ever seen (that honor goes to Bruno) but it is the movie I hate more than any other I've ever seen because of what it did to Star Wars canon.

I won't watch it in the theater but will probably watch it later in a way that doesn't give Disney money; just like I did for Solo (which was a decently enjoyable film). I am all in on this boycott and still pissed about TLJ almost a year and a half later. This is after I was personally responsible for buying 18 tickets to TFA (multiple viewings for me and others) and 7 for TLJ (one viewing was too much). That isn't much but if enough fans like myself do like they did for Solo, they should feel it for Episode 9 too.

I liked the first episode of TM quite a bit! Probably the best of the new Star Wars stuff, FWIW. But I am still in full boycott mode for Episode 9 because of Episode 8. Someone was talking earlier about "bad Bond movies". That is not what Episode 8 was. That is what Episode 1 was and I continued to watch Episodes 2 and 3 on opening day and multiple times in theaters. The Last Jedi was a full on assault on and affront to Star Wars, Luke Skywalker and Mark Hamill by the hack Rian Johnson with the last chance to have Mark and Carrie on screen together. It is not just a terrible movie; it is a travesty.

    Quoted from Underspin:

The worst Star Wars content was the holiday special except for the part where Harvey Korman does a galactic Julia Child (@ 22:30). Even that part is more entertaining than Finn saying "I'm in charge. I'm in charge now."

The Holiday Special is Citizen Kane compared to The Last Jedi. TLJ is not just the worst Star Wars movie; it is the worst movie of all time, period.

    #3857 4 years ago
    Quoted from TigerLaw:

The Christmas Special didn’t damage the Star Wars fantasy rules like TLJ did. That hyper jump ramming thing totally ends the fleet warfare methodology of the earlier movies and makes the earlier movies not make any sense. One of many examples...

On a list of worst parts of this horrible movie that is #1. #2 is Jake Skywalker drinking the green milk.

    #3858 4 years ago

I really hope TRoS makes about $300 million and Disney finally wakes up.

I'm afraid the boycott will be quite operational when Episode IX arrives.

    #3866 4 years ago

I refuse to buy even a single ticket. #notmystarwars

And I bought 23 tickets in total for The Force Awakens.

    #3890 4 years ago

The Mandalorian is good. The most recent episode was the worst one but still good. Episode 9 looks like a dumpster fire of shit. Horses running on a ship in space? WTF?

    Quoted from Jason43:

If you hate TLJ and The Rise of Skywalker, and oh yeah, by the way, you hate the first three movies too, you might as well just say that you hate Star Wars. Like it or not, those installments make up a huge percentage of the overall tale. I'm a huge fan of Empire Strikes back. But if that's all I like, I dislike Star Wars because I only like 1/9 of it.

I like or love: ANH (Ep 4), TESB (Ep 5), RotJ (Ep 6), AotC (Ep 2), RotS (Ep 3), TFA (Ep 7), Solo, Rogue One, and The Mandalorian.
    I don't like but I don't hate: TPM (Ep 1), Holiday Special
I HATE with a PASSION: The Last Jedi - The worst movie ever made.

I only hate 1/12 of the movies. Fuck you, Rian Johnson.

My fellow Pinside moderators have incorrectly accused me of trolling this position for years, but the Phantom Menace is my favorite Star Wars movie. I have my reasons: Darth Maul, amazing sound track, Liam Neesom, world building with the functional Jedi order and senate, the incredibly well done final act of the movie, etc. Many things that bothered others (Jar Jar, Anikin) didn’t bother me at all for whatever reason. I did not like AotC.
    People like different things.

I can get behind loving TPM. Sure, I'll upgrade it to my top tier of Star Wars and leave The Holiday Special at middle tier by itself. The garbage tier, the worst movie ever made, the movie that ruined Star Wars, will always be The Last Jedi. It has been two years and nothing is a bigger first world problem for me than this movie. If I saw Rian Johnson in person I would punch him in the face. It would be worth going to jail to wreck this little man. I don't know how big he is but I am 6'2" and 205 lbs and I'd love to hit his pathetic round face. I hope Knives Out fails and his career becomes a joke. I hope he is cleaning toilets by 2025. I think I'll join Twitter just to tell Ruin Johnson how much I hate him. So I decided to look him up and he is 5'5"! My 14 year-old son who is just entering puberty is the same height and could probably take this asshole! I am slightly drunk right now so I'll end my rant before I embarrass myself any more than I already have.

The greatest 30 seconds in movie history is when Luke confronts Vader after he suggests Leia might come to the dark side. The music, the fighting, the drama; it is perfection.

    Quoted from Jason43:

Vader's scene at the end of rogue one is thinly veiled fan service. It serves absolutely no purpose other than an excuse to have Darth Vader swing a lightsaber. That scene was made for the lowest common denominator of star wars fan. The people who like phantom menace because it has pod racing, or the people who think Sith is the best movie because it has the bestest lightsaber fight.

I guess I am part of this "lowest common denominator". I thought that scene saved an otherwise mediocre movie. Revenge of the Sith is my favorite movie because it has the best few lightsaber fight scenes. I hated the pod race, however. I only liked Natalie Portman and Darth Maul in TPM.

Reading reviews it is clear that the power of Disney is on full display. It was exactly the same for The Last Jedi prior to release with all these rave reviews of how amazing it is ... and look what we got. My favorite example is Roz Weston. Initially he raved about how much he liked TLJ and later after it came out he admitted he wasn't allowed to give his true opinion initially and then he ranted about how much he hated it. Expect another 45% audience and 90% reviewer score on Rotten Tomatoes. I am staying far away from this crap.

Just imagine an episode 8 and 9 with:
    - Rey trains with Luke and quickly becomes a badass with his training and her strong connection to the force
    - We learn why Rey is so powerful. Being Palpatine's granddaughter is fine. Or maybe she was created by Snoke and someone hid her from him.
    - Luke mourns Han and connects with Chewbacca over his death in an evening of reminiscing over Han
    - Luke returns and has a touching reunion with his sister
    - Kylo is conflicted between the poisoning of his mind and thirst for power vs. his love for his parents and uncle/mentor. Maybe even add in an obsession/love for Rey that further conflicts him. And keep that damn cool helmet!
    - Finn deals with internal conflict with fighting against other former child slaves like himself that are still stormtroopers, maybe even becoming a symbol that leads to further rebellion within the First Order, thereby increasing the Resistance's numbers with real fighters.
    - We see Phasma being a total boss ruining regular people and maybe even decently holding herself against Rey for a time before something stops their fight from continuing. She eventually dies to Finn after being weakened by her encounter with Rey. Or maybe Chewbacca and R2 assist in this fight.
    - Poe is more difficult to make a deep character out of but maybe they don't all have to be deep. Perhaps his bravado in a dog fight gets his wingman killed?
    - We find out more about Maz, maybe even learning that she has some force sensitivity, and also learning how she got a hold of Anakin's lightsaber. Perhaps she has been plotting against Snoke for centuries and is killed by him after surprising him with her power.
    - Snoke shows off his true power in subtle and less subtle ways to set him up as a terrifyingly powerful villain with a history of being behind the scenes all along.
    - A final showdown between Luke and Snoke with a nearby fight between Rey and Kylo. Luke is terribly injured or killed by Snoke and Kylo, due to multiple reasons (the loss of his uncle, his love for Rey, his losing to Rey in their fight) turns on Snoke and he and Rey barely defeat him, maybe with a little help from Luke.
    - We see a grand funeral for Leia (killed in battle somehow) that is also a touching tribute to Carrie Fisher

This isn't necessarily in order but all are plot points that I feel are superior to everything in TLJ and most of what I am hearing about TROS.

Sorry for the double posting but Mandalorian Ep 7 was phenomenal IMO. I can't wait for the season finale!

Marketing for these big movies is frequently in the $100M+ range. Add that to the cost of production at (probably well) over $300M+. After theater cuts and taxes, they make about 50% of ticket sales as profit. So $800M is the minimum for breaking even on TROS. I imagine that $900M to $1B is probably closer to the minimum this movie has to make to not be a failure. Projections would say that this movie will end right around $1B but I wouldn't be surprised if bad word of mouth, bad reviews and fewer return viewings leave it short of that. The saddest part is that I doubt Disney will (publicly) acknowledge that TLJ is the cause of this failure. I own quite a bit of Disney stock and it is holding tight as of now. Disney+ and the Mandalorian are probably making up for it.

    Quoted from TheLaw:

Fuck it's been a 1.5 years since I've been in this thread, and I've got some bad news for everyone; I just saw the new ROS and it wasn't that good.
But seriously, I think somehow this fucking thing may be worse than the last jedi which can;t be true becasue that was the worst movie I've ever seen.
Holy shit...just no no no...why? So dumb on so many levels but space horses was embaressing (anyone remember Bravestar cartoon from the 80s?), and the single antennae tower; I'd say it the worst goddamn thing ever but it kind of goes in line with Stupid Star Wars shit.
Thank the gods for Babu Frik And the Rocketeer's ass.
    EDIT: And hiding Rose Tycho

This pretty much sums up my feelings. I was able to watch TROS in a way that didn't give Disney any of my money so I did it. It is fucking terrible. It is just a mess on an epic scale. I actually think it is worse than TLJ. I didn't think that was possible. I still hate TLJ more because it ruined Star Wars, Luke and this new trilogy. Keri Russell was hot as always and actually Daisy Ridley looked a lot hotter in this one than she did in TLJ. It was as if Rian Johnson could even make hot women look ugly. I'm surprised he wasn't responsible for the smoking hot Brie Larson looking like crap in End Game.

And in related news I am rewatching my favorite TV series of all time: Breaking Bad. There is just one TERRIBLE episode that adds nothing to the story and is just a waste of almost an hour of your time. That episode: "Fly". The creator of that episode: Rian fucking Johnson. God I hate that dipshit.

I like Looper and Brick but I will never see anything by Rian Johnson again after TLJ so Knives Out is out for me.
