    I've read through pages and pages of complaints in this thread and I can somewhat confidentially declare that those people would never be happy no matter who made the movie.

    And despite all of that, the films have made oodles of money, much more than other great films listed lower on the list:

    If SW 1-3 were released today, you'd have the same people complaining about them.

    Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

    I don't think any of the SW movies after 1 and 2 are exceptional films, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching them.

    I hope Disney makes many more.
