So what if numbers of the newest trilogy dwindled? That market is what they need to stay loyal to 20 years down the road.

You missed my point- The Gen-X cash cow still is increasing in value, hell they are still marketing stuff to the previous generation for fleecing.
Disney is bleeding out, they need money NOW. They are losing a cool 30 million per day. One report stated that now that the park in Florida is open they are losing MORE money than if they just kept the gates locked, the volume is just not there to sustain operations.
