So I just picked up a Split Second, and it's a bit rough. So many of the parts have been replaced with erroneous parts, and I'm trying to restore it a bit. I am looking at the PDF of the manual that exists on ipmd, but it is really degraded. So much so that I can't really read part numbers.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what flippers are supposed to be used on the upper playfield?

Thanks!

Yeah, I took a look there first but there is a smaller upper flipper on the playfield and marco doesn't seem to have any smaller flipper in that list.

oh, i saw they had two different flippers listed thought maybe one of them was it. ill see if i can find anything elsewhere.

Yeah, I'm finding it difficult to correlate the part numbers that I can actually read from that manual to parts in Marco. I'm wondering if there's like a part number conversion chart for old SS sterns

Quoted from rotordave:

Here’s some pix of mine from last week.
Appear to be 2x normal flippers up there. On mine, at least.

Nice! That's interesting... so it's a normal 3inch flipper? Mine came with two lighning flippers up top (which is clearly wrong). From the manual and pics I've seen it just looks like the upper left flipper is smaller. I suppose it could just be the angle though...

Update - was working in the arcade today and it is definitely a small flipper up top.

You can see both flippers match the artwork, so they are correct.

Sorry for the previous pictures and discussion ... they certainly appeared to be full sized ones from the perspective which they were taken ...
