I've got a Spirit of 76 that is getting stuck on initial startup after being powered on. When I power the game on and push the replay button to start a game, the player unit seems to get hung up and the 00-90 relay is constantly being fired. When I manually push the solenoid plunger on the player unit, it advances and goes to its full reset complete and the game plays fine. After game over, the following resets all work fine and has no issue until I power off and back on. Not really sure where to start with this.

Thanks for posting this Howard. I've got schematic but the manual is on order. I'll check it out tonight. I think its getting to step 5. I'll put some scores on the reels and see what happens.

I must have purchased the mechanic included version of this game. Tonight, I powered it up with a score on p1, hit the reset button. P1 reset to zero. I went to the back of the machine to watch the Z1/Z2 relays as the rest were resetting. The reset process started, the F relay hammered a bunch of times and then the game started. I played a few 1p games powering off between and each time started and played perfectly. I played a 2 player, then a 4 player and each time worked perfectly. It seems to have fixed itself. I love EM's

phil-lee .. I know. I make it a point to give all my EM games at least a few games a week. It makes a world of a difference. They need exercise for sure
