Do you have access to the machine?

Some things to check when the ball drops in the hole with the "Double Bonus" light (white?) on - does the J relay pull in (or twitch)? If it pulls in, does the E relay pull in also?

Some of the quick checks - target bank sequence switches (2), hole switch… these three switches are double switches. In the case of the target bank sequence switches (in series) - one lights the light, the other arms the J relay trip circuit, BUT they’re also used for the special (which you said, works), so I’d guess they are ok. The hole switches - one is used in the G (hole relay) trip and the other holds the J relay when the motor starts moving (and Motor 1E will open). So if J doesn’t hold on for the duration, check this hole switch.

Assuming G and J are holding, is E pulling in? All three should happen almost simultaneously. G and E should pulse with each motor cycle - they have Motor 1C and/or 2B in their trip and hold circuits.

Correct, 2 normally open switches stacked in center hole. One triggers G, the other is for J hold.

Motor 1E is also a candidate - a double switch (enables the Double Bo light and in the path to trip J), and unlike the target switches, is not in the "Special" path. Easy to check also!
