I just finished repainting my King of Diamonds and tried to order siderail nails, but Jimmy wrote back and said "sorry, no". The web site has since been updated to "Out of stock"

Other than the parts from PBR, what do you guys use?

    ...and the hits keep coming.

I spoke to Steve about this. He is out. He has no source. The company he got them from (30 years ago) is out of business. etc. etc.

    Yikes.

That's for the 3/4", not sure what length is required.

yea 3/4" is correct. I have a handful of the pbr nails, I use them as the first nail right by the flipper button, better tactile feel. Then use the substitute for the rest.

The substitute has a smaller head but functional.

Im also saving nails when I remove the rails on a paint job.

I just ordered 100 and I did save the nails when I pulled them. I may have 10 or so from a previous order, so I'll be able to get the KOD back together anyway.

I like to use new stuff, but things are going to get more and more dicey as time goes on. Generally, more parts need replacing and less are available. The stashes that Steve etc., bought from the manufacturer are going away.

Anyway, you guys saved my donkey on this one. I'll post a picture of the KOD after I get the side rails on.

Good thing I ordered a big pack when I did AND saved all my old nails! Yikes

I usually ordered 40 at a time, so I had a stash. I placed an order and they said 10. I think the last order, I got 40.

I too am saving the old ones if possible, sometimes the heads get buggered up pulling them.

I went to the website and it still showed them as 18 cents a piece. Strange. It still shows the locks in stock too.
