can not be done...
they did not have a "novelty mode" until the mid 70's and that was only on AAB games
This is actually a fairly easy mod. Probably the easiest way to accomplish this without messing up the existing game wiring is to add a spare AG relay to the bottom board. Hook the coil of the new AG relay to the wires that go to the replay knocker. Then use an N.O switch on your new relay to energize whatever scoring element you want by hooking it up as though it were one of the playfield switches that scores that value.
When the knocker fires, the AG relay will pulse closed. That will close the switch on the relay, which will score the desired points. Of course, this will also add a credit to the replay unit. If you don't want that, you can tie back the subtract pawl of the replay unit so that it is always in the retracted position. That will keep the replay wheel at zero.
If you take the time to make this a 100% reversible mod, I'm pretty sure your future self will be very happy that you did!
