I recently acquired a Stern KISS and the fan on the power supply runs 100% of the time and is stupid-loud. I wanted to use the pinmonk fan replacement like I have in Iron Maiden but KISS has the earlier, fan on the side. I contacted Stern and they said if it's running all the time, the power supply is faulty.
    Marco has this for $189

I also read here that this is an option but I couldn't find much info/confirmation that that is true...

The Meanwell is half the price and has the fan on top so if it is still loud it looks like I could put a pinmonk fan in that one.

    Please advise, thanks!

Thanks! So, that means this one is ok? Other Pinsider's have used this one in a Spike game?

That's the pinmonk option I was referring to. Works great in IM. I even ordered one for KISS but cancelled when I saw I have the older style and not compatible. But thanks!

I have the incompatible front fan.
Ordered the Mouser as Jameco had a $16.42 tariff surcharge. Thanks Trump

It's what comes in a Ghostbusters game.

Not that I didn't trust you (big fan, long time listener, first time caller) gotten lots of indirect advice from you over the years... but I had already emailed Stern about it. They confirmed that, yes, this is their current choice.
    Thanks!
