A friend of mine has been trying to sort an Iron Maiden LE which isn't fully booting. I've been trying to help him remotely as he doesn't have any spike machines himself. The row of diagnostic LED's on the cpu board are all lit except for the bottom one, ' VNB ' which is node bus power. Does anyone have any experience of this? Is it going to need a new CPU? all the other node boards LED's are present, i.e. 48v, 6v & boot.

Honestly im quite nervous of the lack of community knowledge on the spike / spike 2 system. If you have a bally -17 or -32 issue there is so much knowledge, you can just about fix anything.

If this were my game I would look at the schematics and check where the node bus voltage comes from and use a meter to find out where it is getting lost. In my opinion most likely a component on a node board (playfield node) most likely get burnt and is taking it down.

Also sometime when a node board frys, it will wipe out the power dist board in the backbox. Especially on Rush LE, when the node blows, the power board does too.
