Excellent. I am liking where things are at from a code and SBC standpoint. Hoping this screen works out that I ordered for a desktop form. I haven’t found a great setup yet for a wall hanging system. Would look cool next to my Run-DMD clock
Keep the enhancements/bug fixes coming if you have them!

How about an option to have the clock move around the screen like those old screen savers? Oh man when it hits the corner just right... Mmmmmmm.

I tried to implement this and failed. My css animation skills suck.

Glad to pass the torch to you

Cool. Should be doable. I can take a look tomorrow!

As long as it can never make it into the corner like the DVD Logo .

Additional widgets could be cool to add... I had added a weather widget to the original clock I made and thought some people may like that...

I was using the widget from weathered.com.

no hung videos on the svelte version after running overnight!
I gotta dig up a better power supply, the stupid low voltage warning pops up now and then.

Just pushed up the ability to toggle on "Screensaver Mode". You can also adjust the speed as well. Will get a video of it here shortly.

First pass at the weather widget. You just need to go get a free API key from weatherapi.com. There is a box in the settings modal to type that in and your zip code. I also put an option to always have it displayed or just in between videos (like the clock). Here is a pic…I might polish it up a bit. That API is nice, you get a million calls/mo for free. I have it refreshing every 5 mins.

If you ever want/need to use the react version again, I put in a fix for the hung up videos.
Basically a timer that checks a video is not playing past its expected duration.

Turned out great. The waveshare screens aren’t the best, but great for a desktop clock!

That turned out really nice! Can't remember are you running a Pi or a Potatoe?
