Power is out again here at home. 2hrs so far today
I have yet to turn on a pin when on generator power. Should I worry about voltage/frequency issues or just play some pinball.
I have spike 2 games and a Generac 20kw whole home cng unit.

Solid state powersupply should be able to handle fluctuations, but best if you can plug the game into a UPS and charge that off the generator.
You get any hail damage? I have two cars and a travel trailer that got hit pretty good.
WE Energies is estimating 24-48 hours here.

Man that's terrible!! These storms just pop up I didn't even realize it was coming until I heard the hail.
I haven't inspected yet. Hoping for zero issues.
Fridays storm in Oconomowoc did 5k damage to my brother's car and his house is getting new siding and roof.

Pull up the specs of your generator - less than 5% thd (wrt to sine wave output) is considered near perfect power and should play nicely with pins.
Can also use power conditioner or as others noted a UPS for each machine (so long as the UPS has sine wave output with thd less than 5%).

Thank you, I will look at the THD spec. I have them on a UPS but it is not a line conditioner and also does not have enough power to play just enough to catch a blip in the grid so I dont loose a game.
Edit, just says less than 5% so I guess Im good to go.
Thanks again.
Capture (resized).JPGYou should be fine and keep in mind most wall power isn’t perfect and usually a little over or under 120 VAC.
Depending on your UPS it won’t be much different than just plugging directly into the genset - you need a high end UPS that is line interactive or better yet “online” to do any conditioning.
