I held off for a while but added the buildings (without subway mod) and was very pleased with the result. Looks great and is very easy taking them off and putting them back. He did a great job making these buildings without a doubt.

#3 11 years ago

I had them but decided I liked the look of the SM eyes slings better.

#4 11 years ago

I have never owned this one but I have seen them with and without building mods. I say without a doubt it is a must have for this machine. It just makes it look way cooler and way more complete. IMO

Have fun BR

Yea I agree. Those look great much better than any others I have seen.

I have the buildings, subway, slings and guideline plastics (red on one side, black on the other) and Sandman mods from Back Alley. All of them are awesome.

#7 11 years ago

I have a spiderman done by gap with blue web rails and legs and all of the back alley mods. I normally am not a huge mod fan but I think these mods are amazing

Same here. I bought black outlane pieces with the red sling plastics. I've also since swapped out for the spidey eye sling plastics. I didn't get any of the model pieces, but have been so tempted. I'm actually waiting for someone to come out with interior cabinet art vinyls. IMG_2923_(Custom).JPGIMG_2923_(Custom).JPG

The buildings are a great add IMO. i didn't care for the subway given its size and placement. +1 on eyes slings over the spider ones.

#10 11 years ago

i bought all the sm mods from backalley (plastics, sandman, buildings, train, web balls) still waiting for most of them. it's been almost 2 weeks. I think matt's busy with woz. probably show up next week some time. good stuff so far. pindecals worked out great too.

keeping an eye on the black balls, not sure if their going to mess up the playfield. but, they look damn good. sick of using silver balls on ever game.

the sling eyes looks so bad, can't believe people like them. different strokes, different folks.

i wanted to order colored web plastics from Ritchie's site, but it's jacked up.

I have the buildings, subway, Sandman, and web ball mods from BAC...they are amazing!! A must have for this machine. Just ordered illuminated instruction/pricing cards from NoFlix as well...excited to get those installed - anyone ever use these?

#12 11 years ago

Matt @ BackAlley is so creative. All of his mods are tasteful and well done. Buy with confidence. He is also a hell of a nice guy!

I have a set ready to instal, but I have to wait to get my wiring harness re-pinned. My friend made it to the 5v instead of the 12v.

#14 11 years ago

They look like they should be there in the first place, which is a sign of a very good mod. Sandman plastic is awesome also. Didn't care for the slings he made, the eye ones look better. The cool thing about the buildings is that they cover up many of the actors from the movie. Spider-man will always be more iconic than the movie, which has already been rebooted.

I also like the pinballdecals. They decorate the targets very well.

I'm dig-n the Black / Masked Menace outlane / guidelane plastics ,, I might try those 2 .

and Black ball's,, my last BR was loaded w/ them . I've tried'em in SM , Hard to follow ..

#17 11 years ago

Ive got the buildings, subway, and sandman. They are very well done.

#18 11 years ago

I know i saw those a while back dude, appreciate the find. I just think they look like crap compared to the ones on sr's site

#19 11 years ago

Matt makes awesome mods. I have his entire offering in my BSM and the mods do not disturb gameplay. The detail is exceptional.

I tried replacing all of them with the web balls. Definitely too hard to follow. I reduced it to one web ball and now its just a bit of a surprise during multiball when that black ball comes flying out of a shadow

Im concerned about these. I saw korns review on the gold balls and it wasnt good. I do like black in sm and ss. Just dont know how its going to work out long term.

I really doubt you could tell the difference between them and the SR webs. SR's set had the small shooter lane web as red (which made no sense to me). I bought the SR set and left the shooter lane web clear. I later bought a different set from Jason at fab_unlimited and I'm very happy with them. You can select any of his available colors for any of the webs.

Select a yellow Sandman, red Doc Ock and a red shooter lane web and it's the same thing. He also sells a nice Green Goblin and Venom web which fits the game nicely.

Anyway a Big Shot out to Matt @ Back Alley , I got my 2 set's of 4 ( Black & Red ) Plastics in the mail 2-day .. Great Quality Product's @ a Decent Price .. B_R

#27 11 years ago

I got the mirror blades from PDI. They're sweet. Under cabinet flashers from RGB striP is awesome on this game. Wired green to Goblin, red to dock ock and blue to venom flashers and it is really cool. Awesome effect.

#28 11 years ago

I ended picking up just about everything from Back Alley as well and recently changed to spiderman eye slings with a blue and red LEDs 1f2236cdf9611b80d764847ca2c713d1.jpg1f2236cdf9611b80d764847ca2c713d1.jpg

I love the way the buildings look, but dont care for the subway as it seems to take up to much space and the sandman thing just doesnt seem to fit.. but thats just me.

Once you play a few games with the buildings on a SM then play a game without them it is really bare looking. They are excellent quality as is all of their stuff.

#30 11 years ago

I can't wait to see Matt's work on WOZ and Predator, he really is outstanding at what he does!

I really like the subway because it covers an area that really has no gameplay features. I also like the buildings. The sandman is ok, but I decided to take the sandman mod off mine because it blocks the view of the VUK and significantly takes away from the light show when you hit sandman.

where do you buy the eye sling plastics?
