SM was a strange game for me. In 2007ish I played it a few times and didn't think any thing of it. Then the new code hit and all the hype started. I was able to put a few more games on and still wasn't impressed. Then even MORE hype...I'm like WTF...I'm gonna grab one of these thing and figure out what all the fuss is about.
So I bought one and kept it at my office so I could get a bunch of games on it. About a week or 2 in and 50ish games I still was like..."I don't get it"
It wasn't until I approached the 100 game mark I really started understand the game...and the pure brilliance of the rule set. I'm not sure there's a more action packed game in mode stacking and multi ball stacking. It's a true players game as almost every shot (minus the Green Goblin and Sandman...which are usually 'accidental' multi-ball hits) made has a direct return path to a flipper...even coming out of the pops. Thus if you're 'on' your game and a true shot maker...you are rewarding greatly.
Getting to SuperHero isn't that difficult..I've been there twice in the 150 games before I traded my SM from my office for an X-Men (still got one a SM at home). You make good shots..and you are rewarded with a chance to make yet another good shot..and so on...and so on.
Oh yeah.. and the movie clip animations absolutely blow! Honestly..a alpha-numeric display would be better in this game
