Hello everybody,

I replaced the left Sandman opto (receiver) on my Stern #Spider-Man. The problem was, that the Sandman was registering sudden hits more and more.
But now it doesn't work at all. It looks all good. The beam from the right side to the left, "hits" the LED, but I assume, since the game doesn't register it anymore, that it doesn't work.

I reversed the optos (on the opto board) and the game started to wildly register it like 10 times per second. So I reversed it again.

So my question is, how can it be, that the optos work, but they don't register? The connectors are all connected to the opto board and the opto board works as well (Venom opto and reversed Sandman opto). They look as if they are aligned good. (Except if I took the left one as a emitter instead of a receiver, then the beam of the left side would go far above the right hole, in which the LED is).

Did anyone of you maybe have a similar or maybe even this issue?
