Spider-Man
Stern, 2007Just bought Spider-Man, but I am new to owning and a little green to repairing machines. Still, I have a minor issue I would like to figure out how to fix.
On the upper part of the playfield there is a white plastic cylinder that pops up when triggered by the switch at the end of the orbits. It is suppose to divert the ball into the hole under Sandman to lock it. But, if I hit the orbit too fast, it blows right by and does not stop. How do I adjust it so it does?
This was an engineering flaw on many SMs. I don't recall what the "official" fix was (you should be able to find it in the archives). I think on mine I added a couple of washers under the front side mounts for the bracket to make the rod lean into the ball path a little more. I did that on one game...
