Buy what YOU enjoy playing! I would personally mix it up to get the most variety of play for your money. Make sure to include your wife, partner and/ or children in the decision making process.
Maybe a premium and a Pro or two pros and a classic solid state machine. Possibly add a Slugfest pitch and bat machine into the mix if you want something different for 2 player fun.
