    Hi everyone, up for consideration is my take on a solution that I've been looking for quite some time. I've got a handful of older Stern DMD games with wood speaker panels and every time I lower the speaker panel out of the game and rest it on the side rails, the panel just winds up sliding down the face of the game until is comes to a stop due to being stranded by the speaker wiring harness, DMD wiring harness or ground strappings. Regardless of what finally "catches" it, the end result is always the same - the panel hanging at an angle via one wire under stress. I've tried towels under the panel, etc. and nothing seems to help - it always "slides" and I always get frustrated.

    Case in point - my ColorDMD power harness is the unlucky helper in this situation - definitely not a good spot to be in long term...

    I decided that I was tired of it, and SpeakEasy is the result.

    This first edition is intened to be used with wood speaker panels (hence the mounting hardware) and the hanging bracket is perfectly angled for installation on a Stern game. The kit comes with a marked left and right (when facing the game) mounting bracket that is intended to be installed on the speaker panel itself and then the included clasps connect the hanging bracket to the mounting bracket and the result is a perfectly suspended speaker panel that doesn't stress any of the wiring.

    Here's a few pictures of the install I did on my Tron:

    #1 - Find an open spot (semi-horizontal is recommended) on your speaker panel and then use the included mounting hardware to attach the mounting bracket to hold it in place and then attach the ring end of one of the included clasps (six go on each side) in the recessed area:

    and then finish installing the mounting hardware. The washer face of the included screws will hold the clasp firmly in the mounting bracket:

    #2 - Extend the chain using the other 5 clasps and attach the chain to the hanging bracket and then install as shown:

    #3 - repeat on the other side and you are done! When finished working and ready to reinstall the speaker panel, you simply take the hanging bracket and stow it on the peg on the mounting bracket and the speaker panel goes right back in as always.

    These are currently available in black, red, orange, yellow, royal blue, green, olive green, purple, matte gray and white. I'll be adding some additional colors (pink, light green, light blue, etc.) if demand warrants. These are printed with enhanced-strength PLA at a high infill density for durability and work well for the intended application.

    Here's a shot of the printed parts in red, just for comparison's sake:

    These are priced at $15/set and include the following:

    * Qty. 2 mounting brackets
    * Qty. 2 hanging brackets
    * Qty. 2 clasp/chain sets (six clasps included per side, shorten if necessary)
    * Qty. 4 black anodized torx security screws

    Shipping is a flat rate $5 for as many sets as I can fit into a well-padded envelope. These can be purchased at my Pinside store link - https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1192-apron-envy/04436-speakeasy-frustration-saver-for-stern-wood-speaker-panels

    All shipping will be via USPS first class mail and I'm happy to ship internationally, but that would be at calculated cost for the selected shipper.

    Thanks for any consideration!

    I'm also working on a version for the late SAM/early SPIKE DMD metal speaker panels (i.e. Star Trek, Ghostbusters, etc.) that didn't come with stranded wire hangers. I'll post them when they are ready.
