Well, count me in. I recently dug up a Commandos! This game was rotting away in the attic of a local operator, that had machines routed in... Tunisia! He reimported a bunch of dead machines, and this was one of them.

There seems to be very little info on this game. Some say it is a Europlay, some say it is a Barni. There are no real marks that I have found on it yet. I just started working on it.

The good news? I did manage to fix the boards and they work! I even managed to get the roms copied. I offered to IPDB to send them the roms, but no news yet.

The machine is complete but is rough. The cab's steel covering is rough, backglass has some scratches, coindoor is messed up, and bottom of the cab has some swelling a bit, but I will restore it. Even the cab glass looks like it was sandblasted. I have never seen such wear.

Fun fact (and kind of sad...), the machine was originally a Haunted House. There is still a tag in the backbox, and I pulled off the steel plate off the backbox a bit, exposing HH cab art. The 2 front flipper buttons aren't connected to anything anymore.

Also, fun fact, when I saw the pin, it looked REALLY familiar. Well, I was a fan of 80's B-movies, and I managed to find it... the art is straight from the movie poster for Escape From The Bronx. LOL

I would love to find more of these European gems...

    Rip Haunted House!
Nice save of a rare conversion kit though. That’s very very cool!
Is the guy selling off any other dead games? Playmatics would help my buddy’s Last Lap restoration!

    #54 4 years ago

Can someone please confirm that this is the correct kit to repair the flippers on a Mars Trek? I'm going to help my buddy fix his game, but just want to make 100% certain this kit will work. Thanks!

I've got a Playmatic Speak Easy that is in desperate need of the top arch plastic. Any chance someone has one to offer up?

Also, somewhere on the net I had found a stencil kit for this game (and some others that used the same side art) but I can't remember where the heck it was at...... anyone know where this is at?

My mate and I have just picked up a few Spanish Pins :-
    Mach 2
    Metal Man
    Io Moon and Canasta86

All project machines but Io Moon and Metal Man are mostly working.

I have the manuals for the rest but not IO Moon, however they are all in Spanish.

I'm putting out a call for a copy of these manuals and Schematics in English if anyone has them.
All we can do in Spanish is order a beer
    Many thanks in advance.

If anybody needs drop targets for a Spinball game, Mr_Tantrum on here can now supply them. He made a modification to strentghen them at the bottom. I've been testing them for a good month or so and they still look perfect. Here's a before and after pic...

Thanks jaytrem for posting. As mentioned, I'm able to 3D print replacement targets for Spinball and any other title that utilizes the same drop target design.

I've implemented a couple of features in my design that should allow these targets to stand up to more punishment than the originals and possibly even other reproductions.

1 - I added a foot to the target at the very bottom below the slot. This is by far the weakest point on the target and most common spot for failure. Adding the toe ads no measurable weight, but significantly strengthens the spot. In my rendering, you can see my modification in the lower target verses the upper one. In my initial tests without the foot, I could easily break the part at that spot just by holding it in both hands and putting pressure on the center. With the foot, I was unable to break it even when using significant pressure.

2 - I use a high quality PETG filament which offers a stiff and durable target, but with extremely high flexing capability (see image below). This will allow the targets to take a beating over time and still keep their shape without any structural weakness or damage occuring.

Currently, I can produce the targets in black or UV reactive orange. I'm setting the minimum order at 4 targets for $25 (includes US shipping), and you can add additional targets to the order for $5 each (I will ship outside of US on a per quote basis). I also have the ability to create professional quality target decals (sorry, but no metallics), and I'm happy to quote a custom designed set to go with your target order depending upon your specific needs.

    Please PM me if interested.

Well, finally got my first Faeton delivered.

I believe I need a couple of 050-905 coils ... they are also marked with 45-1000 which I assume is metric 0.45 millimetres, 1000 windings.
Has anyone tried to substitute with a Zaccaria 45-1000 coil ?

... and does anybody know a good substitute for the flipper coils 050-907 ?

Contact Andrew at abp enterprises (hes on here and has a website as well) in Huntley, IL. He may be interested in making some new ones for you. I just had him make a pair of large coils for some old EM rifle games. Work perfect!

I need some help . The pre owner o my playmatic fantasy out of 1976 replaced the scoremotor for unknown reason. They build in wrong on from multiple products, by changing the the holes of the support plate.
Iam looking for information of original scoremotor that need to be fit. I have the schematic, but no specification given ,other than M ru-1
My best guess would be a recel motor.
    Anybody who can help????

    #73 3 years ago

Not sure if these help. Here are some pics of my Jolly Ride motor, also listed as ru-1 on the schematics...

Yes it helps, because this is the one i need. Can you please do me favor and take the dimension of the central pin, just sticking out on your picture. There two different motors , one with 1/4 shaft and one with 3/16 shaft
Also need voltage and rpm of the motor, but motor is mounted on the bottom of the unit, so cannot read it.
Do you have any technical info about this pin??
Don't know how experienced you are with pins, but its farely easy to turn the unit a bit around, so you can see info of V and rpm, its stamped on the bottomside of the motor
    Would very much appreciate it

Looks like Pinball Resource has a 44rpm one...

    http://www.pbresource.com/motor.html

It's listed at RU1 which apparently stand for Ruan. Looks like my friend Colson has a Fantasy, I suspect he would be able to verify the correct rpms for you. I'll send him a text.

    Good luck with the search!

    #79 3 years ago

Already saw that one on pinball rescourse, but that one has no extended 3/16 shaft, anyway thanks for helping.
I think will be difficult to get a good on

    #80 3 years ago

Would be nice to have the info from your friend his fantasy

    #81 2 years ago

Did you get the info form your friend?? As i understood he is the owner of a Fantastic.

    Albert

He said he was going to check it. Just sent him another text to remind him. Sorry for the delay. Any luck finding a motor?

    #83 2 years ago

Yes please my machine is the playmatic fantasy

    #84 2 years ago

Bad news, his motor is missing part of the bottom plate. Of course it's the part where the numbers are. Thanks to colsond3 for the pic...

    IMG_3167 (resized).jpgIMG_3167 (resized).jpg
    #85 2 years ago

Yes i see, not only missing part of the bottom plate, but its a repaired one also. Motor plates are bolted together.
There a pc broken off, looks like the same problem i have. More and more i realize that it would be very difficult to find replacement.
May i thank you my friend for what you did for me to identify my old motor.. I think the one of your machine must be the correct one and will also fit my fantasy.
    Again appreciate your help

    Albert

    #92 2 years ago

I need closer look of the two blue ones shown on your picture. I can see were the first one is connected to, but what about the second one? To the same? Or?

    Can hou please help again

    #93 2 years ago

Sorry for the delay, just saw this. I'll ask Colson to take a look. From looking at the first picture, my guess is they're connected to the same place.

    #94 2 years ago

Ok iam in doubt, but lets wait for colson

    Albert

    #95 2 years ago

    Any news from Colson??

"Both blue wires with green stripe are connected to the top last lug on the stack. Lug most towards the back of the machine"
