Finally an owner, pickup a very clean Space Station a couple weeks ago and I have been going over it tweaking a few things.

I like the incandescent look so the GI will be mostly original but I did think some of the inserts were dim so I re-positioned a couple bulbs to show better and swapped others to LED (still have a couple to go but ran out of bulbs ). The original green mode was just to faint for me so I change most to LED (again out of bulbs) and I really like the difference, much more intense.

I have been playing around with LEDs in the backbox on a couple pins and this is what I did for Space Station
I mixed white and colored LED with incandescent to try to give it a sense of the sun highlighting some areas and red for the"warning" lights (my interpretation )

I think it looks better in person because the individual bulbs are less obvious but I'm still going to work on the top to blend it a bit better ( or try to take better pics )
