I had to make my own. I drilled out the old Delrin, ordered some new Delrin plastic rod. Then hammered it into the shaft, cut it to size, and then used a grinder too smooth it out a bit. Search Delrin rod.
Brian
mof,
I had to replace my kick back also. I drilled out the old stuff and ordered some new rod from US plastics. Sorry, I don't remember the size but I used calipers to measure the width and bought the closet size I needed and just cut to the length that I needed. Worked awesome.

Quoted from MustangPaul:Looks great. I gotta get off my butt and do that. Did you take the power from the coin door?
Yes, right from one of the coin slot lights. I can take some pictures of what I did and post them later.
Brian
Here are a few pictures of what I did.
button lights.jpg
ran the wires to both lamps/buttons on either side of the machine and then to one of the coin door lights. This way one set of wires supplies voltage to both lamps. I also put a diode in 1n4004. Matched up with what I saw on the game already.

I slipped the new wire under the heat shrink and soldered to the leg coming off the coin door light.
Quoted from mof:Question:
What re-lights the re-entry ball-save on left?
thanks!

If i'm understanding your question right you have to complete the three upper playfield switches to restart the multi ball capture.
Brian
Hi Guys,
I'm still working on a better version then the current mold I have. Life has gotten in the way a little but hopefully I will start back on this soon. Once I'm happy with the reproduction I'll send one to PPS and see what we can work out as far as supplying them to everybody that needs one.
Thanks,
Brian
Quoted from MustangPaul:That would be great, just hope you don't run into any licensing problems. Ya never know.
That's what I want to avoid so I'll reach out to Rick and see what can be done.
Quoted from swampfire:I'm re-posting this question, since we're playing this game in league next week. It doesn't affect the player's score, but it's really annoying to hear the "hurry up" beeps when you can't shoot the ramp (because the target is up). I've rebuilt the drop target with new optos; it still happens. Software bug or...?
I see this same thing swampfire, always after multiball too.
Brian.
Quoted from Cheeks:Maybe this was covered already, but has anyone come up with a better Space Station model? I've added the transparent blue ramp mod, which really livens up that upper right area, but the station model is really weak. Anyone find something cool as a replacement mod?
I'm working to get some more of these made. It's been going slower then I've anticipated cause of the new baby and all. I did a few test forms with the new molds and just need to work out a few bugs.

Brian
Quoted from ToucanF16:That's cool! Gonna sell 'em?
I think he will, we are testing them right now. trying to decide if we should cast them or leave them 3D printed. These would look good on space shuttle too I think. I will be sure to have him start a thread once he has some ready to sell.
Brian
Quoted from Chosen_S:I wander if there's possibility of putting orange leds in the booster somehow... I think I've seen a hollow rod before???
Hi Chosen_S,
We actually are looking to do something like this, I think it would make the design epic.
Brian
Quoted from alepage:Hello there this is a great thread, can I pick your brains? I have a Space Station but I'm missing the actual Space Station, I understand these easily break, I was following a thread about vacuums forming some new ones but this seams to have dried up, does anyone know if these are available? Or has anyone got one they wish to sell? Bay Area amusements have been out of stock for ages, does anyone else know who might stock one?
Thanks Tony

Hi Tony,
I'm the one that did the thread on the vacuum stations. I have been planning and trying to make some more but life has been crazy busy and pinball has taken a bit of a back seat since my wife and I adopted a baby a year ago this May. But now that things are somewhat returning to normal (as in sleep) I'm finding more time to work on things and I hope to get some more of these out real soon.
sorry it's been taking so long everybody,
Brian
I posted this in my space station thread but thought I'd also share it here.
Small update. I've been having issues with getting the clear windows in the middle to form flat and clear with the molds I have. So I'm going to try a different approach. I made a new mold with those areas open. I'll be forming a few tonight and report back how they look.
Brian
Quoted from MustangPaul:Now that's funny...is it any good?
Not sure Paul, I'll let ya know once I try it. It's a pale ale.
Cool, I was thinking the wire ramp, I'd like to powder coat it blue near the shooter and gradually go into a black as it goes up the playfield but I'm not sure they can do something like that.
I see 2 space stations popped up for sale today in the market, what happen? did someone announce a remake?
Brian

Quoted from Chosen_S:thats a good idea, now we just need to dress it up a little, great work!!!
Actually working on something now, revealing soon!
Quoted from scarybeard:You need a Blue Ramp.
I do have one, but need the time to put it in.
Quoted from patrickvc:Does anyone make a decal for the upper playfield the 123 decal behind the lanes?
I need one of those too, it's been on my list of things to do.
Brian
Quoted from MustangPaul:Nope, they have to be injection molded, that's the problem. Any Pinsider own an injection molding company?
Has anybody reached out to PPS and asked them if they'd look into running them?
Brian
Quoted from Drickey86:I would say it could be done if someone had one to copy i dont have one at all or any means of 3d printing
I actually started working on this piece awhile back. I'll look for it and finish it, then 3D print it and see how it comes out.
Brian
Quoted from Drickey86:That would be awesome when one becomes avalible i will deffinatly buy!
And it's printing. I'll need you as a tester so I'll send it with your space station plastic.
My targets under the ramp take a beating and are always going crooked, so I made up some Williams target splints to straighten them. Standing up proud now! These babies press together tightly. I needed a wrench to snap them together. I also created a grove for a zip tie to keep them extra secure. No glue, bonus!
I was going to print them in green or blue, just to spruce em up a bit. I think I still will.
Brian
Quoted from MustangPaul:That's really clever, you gonna sell them now? I'll take a set.
Hi Paul,
Let me test them out for a few and figure out a price too. I want to make sure they work good before I offer them.
Brian
Quoted from Zablon:I keep thinking that with all the 3D printing going on these days that might happen. So far nothing, not even repros that I'm aware of.
Here are the vacuum form ships I'm doing. I have the silver one on mine and love the look.
Brian
Quoted from EdisonArcade:Do you have any pics you would share of the silver one in your game?
I have one of your white ones now. Nice product.
Thanks, I do, https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/vacuum-formed-my-own-space-station/page/4#post-3607879
First time linking so I hope this works.
It is darker to see, but i love the look of it, kinda spooky.
Brian
I've Got a space station "reject" forsale if anyone would like to buy it. 28 bucks shipped US. It's got a few tiny air bubbles in the plastic form which you cant really see 4 feet away when it's in the machine. PM me if interested. Might have a second one too.
Brian.

thx Mike
These are ones I vacuumed formed just like the original. Sold quite a few. There is an alternative one on thingiverse that looks cool but I like the original look.
I might have a few left if you are interested.
Brian
now, what can you say to me to go for this swap !?
tanx
What if you and another local collector swapped machines for 6 months and then swapped back again?
Brian.
Quoted from truemagoo102:New member Love this game... It's a slow burn game but the music, the light show, having to relight the locks... In many ways this was ahead of it's time. I saw that they aren't selling the plastic space station mod, anyone know where you can get one? I might want to 3D print a bigger one too, it seems like something really cool could be there.
[quoted image]
truemagoo102, I have been vacuum forming replacements. I'll send you a PM if you are interested.
