Quoted from swampfire:My “chase lights” are blue incandescent, but I may switch them back to white incandescent.
So not blue LED interesting. I wonder does the rubber covers on the incandescent lamps somewhat dims the chase lights?

Quoted from ezatnova:I use light blue fire bulbs behind the windows. Looks like active lights flickering and working in a bright white-blue. Love the effect. Also put a normal fire bulb behind the shuttle rocket so it looks like it’s firing. Really works perfectly.
Did you buy the fire bulbs from Comet?

I like the idea of this. Did you buy the fire effect LEDs from Comet? I haven't found any websites in Europe selling that style of LEDs. Pinball center in Germany sells a
Blinking style led which I don't think would give the fire effect.
Quoted from rottenrobert1313:That looks cool. I'm gonna have to do that to mine, but first I need a new translight. Mine is completely faded and washed out. I see the ones on ebay are gone. Anyone know where I can pick up a new one from?
My translite was also faded. I bought a reproduction from pinball center in Germany. Unfortunately it doesn't have the chase lights cut outs. Nor does it have the William logo in the bottom right corner. The image quality and colour is very good though.
Quoted from TicTacSeth:When I had it, I liked white lights the best in the chasers. For the rest of the back glass, I used 3 different whites based on the artwork that I thought really enhanced the foreground/background. Cool, warm and sunlight whites. Some color down on the planet of course, and for the ship on the lower left, I always wanted to mod in a flame bulb and angle it with the artwork. Never got there though.
Where did you buy the sunlight white LEDs? I would like to experiment with my back box.
I have a turquoise led for the little shuttle flame, underneath the small planet has a red led.
For the large left strobing flame, I have a incandescent bulb and a green led. Nice green tinge in the flame.

Yep blue and red ones from comet

Thanks. I guess I'll hold out for something to pop up. Kinda like the chase lights. If nothing then I'll get one from pinball center.
After many months of waiting - we just got the Space Station Mini playfields back in - both in BLUE as well as CLEAR
They will be on the store in a day or two - need to get pics of the clear.

I saw the populated playfield you had at PAGG, and I have the perfect machine to put it in, but I don't think I'd ever get my money back. Alas.

Sweet! I'll be grabbing one. Any chance planetary pinball will offer up the translight? New plastics?
Special thanks to Pinsider DumbAss for his tireless assistance, patience, and teaching over the last two weekends in helping get my Space Station to 100%.
After initial concerns about why the green GI wouldn’t light up and why my right pop bumper wouldn’t activate, he helped me trace both of them to board/relay issues along with revealing several crispy housings for connectors.
I now have a fully functional, solid, and LEDed Space Station. More importantly, though, I also know a lot more about diagnosing and troubleshooting this machine, where to start when certain issues arise, and when to ask for help. What a beautiful game. I’m looking forward to many, many return visits to condition green world.

PPS any update as to when they'll be in the store? After missing out earlier this year (blue sold in in days while I was waiting on the promised clear pics), I'd like to ensure I get one in time for Pincinnati in a few weeks...!

Awesome! Take my money!
Quoted from Orange-Brommie:A new addition to my Den, a new not very cloase relative for the Space Station from the Williams / Bally Family.
Bugs head so far moved. Maybe this weekend with a lend of a van I will get the rest of him moved.[quoted image]

I use something like these furniture slider/protectors under the leveling pads on my pins... work great and cheap online!

They look the job, protect the wooden floor. thanks for that.
It's on my to do list. I want to change the rusted legs to chrome original style and the levelers on the Space station too.
Waiting for pay day
I found what I believe to be the best casters for pinball feet.

Clear still isn't showing but I'm not making the same mistake twice; I ordered blue. If clear shows up soon/later I may list my blue one here ha ha.
Quoted from rottenrobert1313:New upper ramps are in at planetary pinball. Get one while you can.
Do you mean the left blue upper play field?
Or right black ramp?
I have recently changed bulbs to Led.
Serious amount of old incandescent bulbs left over. Allot look of them look their age of 30 years plus.
In fact I ran out of LEDs. 4 blue lamps at the U.S.A left to do.
Does space station on average have more lamps including the condition green mode than your average system 11 machine?

Quoted from Zablon:GI is most likely double, but otherwise, probably not.
I supposed when also compared to the modern DMD machines like star trek next generation it doesn't seem allot.
I’m in search of a set of rails for Space Station so I can replicate them for a customer. If someone has a parted playfield please reach out. Thanks
Update:found a set
Another little upgrade. 20 euro cent coin mech installed to replace the old Irish 10 pence coin mech..The last time Mr Space Station accepted money would have been 1999! I'm going to charge friends to play ha ha
New high score 7.8 million achieved. Was in the groove tonight. I think the machine is playing better and is happier since I installed the chrome legs

I like it! Who makes those?
Quoted from radium:I like it! Who makes those?
Thanks! Comet makes the post kits and also the trough light strip that hits the flipper rubbers. See my post a bit ago for how I did dual trough lights to switch from UV to Green Mode.
I forget where I got the UV flipper rubbers but maybe Titan
Looking for a picture of the wires on the relay board by the pop bumpers. I have a burnt connector and I can't tell what order the wires are supposed to go. Namely the yellow and purple wire. Take a look please. Cardboard behind to block other wires for picture quality.
Quoted from rottenrobert1313:Never mind. I found what I needed in the topic gallery. I forgot the gallery existed.
I haven't a chance this weekend to lift up the play field. Might get a chance tomorrow evening after work. There is a bad soldered wire on the left but. I take a picture of the relay and connector. When I'm there.
Quoted from rottenrobert1313:Never mind. I found what I needed in the topic gallery. I forgot the gallery existed.
Gi relay photo.
Used mainly to turn on / off white illumination. But it is tied to the green gi relay

Quoted from CMG-3000:I’m looking for the clear plastic piece that goes over the red front pop bumper cover. The back two have the longer one that connects them. Does any one have an extra for the front bumper?

That plastic , clear with art is the most commonly lost piece on space station, I had to purchase an entire plastic set to get mine years ago, I hope you can find the single by itself

Yikes, I’m hoping to luck out and not have to buy a whole set for that one piece.
Quoted from CMG-3000:Yikes, I’m hoping to luck out and not have to buy a whole set for that one piece.
I don't think you can buy a used or new complete set anywhere.
I'm missing one piece of plastic. The red cross hair between the upper play field space station wheel.

Hi Chosen_s,
Since you mentions having a spare set of plastics. You don't happen to have the red bull eyes better upper play filed a d space station wheel. Like the one I'm pointing at on my computer? I'm to buy it off you if you still have a spare one please.
