Getting an error on power up:
Adjust Switch 33 RT 1 Bank Drop Target, the single drop in front of the right ramp.

The solenoid will reset the drop target in test mode ok.

I blew out the OPTOs w/ compressed air under the playfield..no go..

Likely suspect?

Thanks!

Thanks! Tried to blow compressed air today on the optics. Didn't get the error when I turned on the game but the target wouldn't reset (UP).

will get to it tomorrow with some qtips/isopropyl alcohol and use my digital camera to look for the Infrared light.

Update: Pulled the drop target pcb; Reflowed every solder point; Cleaned the opto with a q-tip dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

Put back in game; Drop target reset! yes!

But sometimes drop target will reset and other times not.
Powering up and on a new game, it'll still stay down.

I have not checked the transmitter yet. Need to get out my digital camera or head to RS for a Infrared card.

For the record, what is the normal process of what the Drop Target is supossed to do during game play?

Will it reset only between players or the next ball?

On mine, it does not reset on power up. It does reset when a new game is started and when a "new" ball is started. If a ball is docked, the next ball is not "new" so it stays down.

I was having some issues with my drop targets and my space station rotating to the wrong position. I changed the connectors on the power supply and that fixed all my problems. So if you still have IDC connectors on those try moving the wires to see if that makes your problem change if so then you have the same problem I had old connectors. Hope this helps
