Williams, 1984New "old" player match display seated properly.
Made a careful paper template, set one corner that worked for aligning the backglass framing and drilled out three new holes.
Display PCB holes had perhaps 1 mm tolerance on the centerpoints. I was close enough and with a bit of a relaxed hole everything seated true and without tension on the PCB.

Sound Test Error?
When I run the test off the circuit board, I get the sequence listed in the manual (e.g. One, Two... Ahhhhgghhhhhhh!)
When I run the test off the coin door, however, I do not get this sequence, but rather a set of the various playfield sounds (e.g. the Joust/Defender ReMix). Given the manual says "listen for the following words...", I'm puzzled.
Can anyone corroborate what what the Sound Test sequence provides form the AUTO-UP test?
My normal game play sounds seem ok...

Howdy fellow SS owners,
I'm hoping someone in the group is able to help. I've started restoring my Space Shuttle and the existing machine has a speaker in the bottom of the cabinet and one underneath the backglass. I don't think the one beneath the backglass is original (as you can see from the photo) so my question is:
1. Did Space Shuttle come with two speakers?
2. If so, where was the second speaker situated - Please post a photo if you can?

I believe there were 2 versions. The one I have has a 4x10 in the middle and I think there was one with two 4" rounds speakers in the corners.
edit: Looking at the blue parts manual it list one 6" speaker and one 4"x10" speaker so perhaps it was a mod I seen.
