I don't know the dimensions, but I'm pretty certain you'll run into 2 issues. The tail won't fit, so you'll have to trim it, and there are some switches, assemblies in the body of the shuttle you might have a hard time relocating. Go for it though, post pictures!

yeah, I don't know the dimensions either, roughly I'd say they are pretty darn close. I can see that the tail is already removable from the new model, so I will just have to cut it down to where the playfeild glass can fit, but the tail will be taller than the Williams one, so that's a bonus. The switch's and all that should be an easy job with some hot glue gun and a drill.

You could always purchase the reproduction toy from Pinball Inc. if your idea doesn't pan out.

Seems like a tough fit. I thought about doing this but I couldn't tell if the toy was big enough. Good luck I would love to see how it turns out.

i do not know the what the size of the original one is, i am away from my pins for a couple of days. I just found this on a ebay listing, "The Approximate length of Space Shuttle when assembled 8”. Plastic Model" and im only paying $10 +shipping.

I'm pretty sure my son has that toy (though he has a LOT of orbiters) and it's noticeably smaller than the Williams'. Still might work though. Good luck!

Just get the heavy duty one from Pinball Inc.

It will be too hard to install the ramp switch in a normal plastic toy.

That was 2 years ago. I would bet that he doesn't even have the pinball anymore.
