We actually are doing the same thing with taxi. We made these essentially "playfield protectors" made from polycarbonate and printed the game art on them and just like playfield protectors they look nice and like a cleared game with protected art. It cost us about $100 (i think, dont quote me i didnt do the print work) to make plus maybe 100 hrs of art work in photoshop to make it perfect. We just made one as a test.

I actually contacted rick for licensing recently and he got back to me and im supposed to give him a ring. It's possible these guys already have licensing and rick just wants to let me know, which is cool but if you guys need artists i can get you in touch with the team, they took a rough looking scanned playfield of my taxi and turned it into perfection
