Hi all,

I bought a Space Shuttle a few months back and when I got it home, the game was working fine. Over time, however, the lane change started to work intermittently and now it works probably once every hundred presses of the right flipper button.

I inspected the lane change switch on the flipper assembly and ensured it was closing and even cleaned the contacts with a business card and it didn't seem to improve the performance much. I noticed a diode attached to the assembly; Do these diodes ever go bad, and what should my next step be? Swap out the lane change switch and try a new one?

I'm pretty new to diagnosing and fixing these problems so I really appreciate your help!!
