Quoted from Apinjunkie:

So I'm working on a new mod, I don't think I'll have to tell any of you what it is or where it goes. I have the 3D rendered file ready to print in .stl format, trouble is,all the local libraries are closed because of covid.so I'm looking for someone who has access to a 3D printer that may be willing to print one of these for me and themselves while they're at it. I have the perfect astronaut to scale so I can pay homage to the original design in 3D, let me know what you think fellow shuttle heads , this is going to be awesome!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I have a printer and would be interested in trying it out.

So, just finished. There will be a lot of cleanup needed, as it printed support inside (even though I told it not to lol).

Quoted from Apinjunkie:

I'm Diggin it, have you seen how it lines up in the machine?

Just tried, doesn't seem to line up (ignore my awful looking PF lol). It lines up with the two back bumpers, but it extends too far to line up with the front, and vice versa if you try to line the front bumper up with the rear two.

Quoted from stoptap:

Could you please measure it and let me know how much it needs adjusting ?

Looking at that horrible paint loss has me thinking, anyone know what color blue matches the PF paint? I have a spare PF with basically no wear, but I don't feel like swapping as mine plays awesome. The majority of my PF looks fine due to Mylar, then there is the crappy looking, unprotected spots.

I don't feel like doing a hardtop, as my BG has a little flaking at the bottom, and my cab is in player condition.

Just curious, I haven't printed the new version yet, but we're the circle caps done away with? I liked how the flowed with the design, and covered the bumper caps. Maybe make them separately so they could be attached?

Quoted from stoptap:

Could somebody measure the centre of their pop bumper to the centre of the mounting hole please (The DZ measurement on this grab) ?
[quoted image]

There is no real mark on the bumper caps for center, but hope these help.

Quoted from John_I:

I sent the modified stl file back to the originators of the design via email. They are free to distribute it as they please.

Excellent work! I really need to learn how to create my own designs. I'm currently working on a machine that needs three rollovers. Such a simple design, it's just stupid that I haven't sat down and learned. Its been almost 25yrs since I used to program in Cad.

Quoted from pkriek:

maybe someone could work on a design / stl for the shuttle toy itself next

Did they stop making the repros of the shuttle? I bought mine at a pinball show (Pinfest) a few years ago, it wasn't expensive either.

Quoted from pinghetto:

Rescued this one from a flooded house that was falling down. There was literally a waterfall coming down from second floor about 10 feet from it.
After alot of elbow grease... It looks fairly presentable and actually plays so good. Man, I ended up loving this game. Thanks to Chuck at Spooky for really getting me hooked on this title...
Cheers.

Looking good! FYI, you're not spose to open a door with a "Doorsock" on it

Cool, but I don't think I even paid that much for my game and the included extra populated pf.

Quoted from Apinjunkie:

Xpin do seem like they would definitely be any easier installation, but I don't think they have the blues available. I think you can get a clear and then a blue vinyl film. I think I'd rather walk the extra mile and get the blue displays.

I have Blue led displays from Pinscore. Sold the originals (with one dead display) which covered most of the upgrade I believe. No soldering.

Went to check the batteries on my SS, oops, 2018. So, finally installed the NVRAM I bought years ago lol. Not the easiest install due to an equipment failure (solid clog on my desolder station), but got it done. Now none of my pins have batteries to worry about.

Remind me, who sells the drop target and spinner decals? Just noticed mine are non-existent.

First step with the right ramp, little part done with 3D printer.
I will work on the center ramp tomorrow.[quoted image][quoted image]

Mine has this, not stock I assume? (Ignore sticker pealing on shuttle nose, need to get to that one day lol)

Quoted from MustangPaul:

Hi guys, I've drilled out locks before and I need to do it on the backbox, is that any different then with any other game? Thanks

Have you tried picking it? They are usually very easy to pick. Also, double check that one of your other pins doesn't have the same keyed lock, many are the same.
