Quoted from toyotaboy:

Got my SS backglass from CPR today. I'm seeing the same blue hue everyone else is.

That repro has some serious blue saturation and the shuttle is now outlined in purple unlike the original. Most of the white is gone from the clouds and the shuttle. It's actually a very tough trade-off if you have an original backglass that has no flaking.... do you want faded colors (no red) and whites or red w/excessive blue? I suppose the final decision would have to be made with the backglass installed in the game and illuminated.

Quoted from Freeplay40:

I do have a new black reproduction ramp but vid1900 advised against using it as it does not fit the game well...pretty sure I recall him wanting to participate in this one when I do make it.

Quoted from vid1900:

Yes, I can send you an OEM ramp and test it's replacement.
Thicker **could** be better, but the spacing on the repros was off, and required some routing of the playfield to install correctly.

This is why I have never installed mine. Even if I routed out the playfield at the ramp entrance it just doesn't seem to fit at several other locations like the original does... it was made thicker to be more durable, but wound up being easily 2x as thick as it needed to be.

Quoted from vid1900:

They are a bitch to get back on.
Soap 'em up, squeeze them back on in a vise or a pair of Channellocks.

Like everyone else I struggled installing these big yellow bumpers as they are relatively hard rubber. I had to cut the old ones off, and soapy water is definitely required to install new ones. The post with the screw on top was the toughest because you can't angle it in like the other 3, so I drilled a hole in a block of wood to mount the post and smashed it on with a mallet. That block of wood provides nice leverage for the other 3 as well. Using pliers or a vice risks scratching them up.

Can someone post pics of the underside of the ball gate in the right outlane, or assembly page from the manual if it is there? I'm missing parts but don't know which.

Thank you, that's even more than I hoped for!

I ordered the CPR plastics years ago on the original run, they are the same light color... particularly the slings, so much so that it looks intentional, as if they were modeling prototype plastics. At first I wasn't all that happy, but in the end I don't mind the different shade of blue. I am curious the reason why the colors aren't even close... but then again the CPR backglass suffers from a color issue as well... too blue.
