Shout out to Andy, (SkyKing2301,) for the awesome upgrades to my space shuttle. An official patch and keychain that make a worlds difference! When they arrived in the mail I was so excited! My wife was laughing at me but this really transforms the pin.
Another shout out to 20eyes, (Mike,) for the new ramp protectors he created to hide the broken edges of my ramp! Woo hoo!
I also received my flyer in the mail from Harvs, thanks so much!
After cutting up my 1st key chain for the coin door I realized I should've ordered a 2nd for the keys again. If you do order the patch and keychain from SkyKing2301 don't make my mistake. It's really cool knowing that they are official and come from someone who was involved with the shuttle program. I missed it earlier in the thread but learned through corresponding with Andy that he was an Orbiter Structures Engineer on the space shuttle program (for United Space Alliance, NASA's prime contractor for processing the space shuttle) from 2003 - 2012 (missions STS-114 thru -135, and Transition & Retirement). My machine just got cooler! Thanks man!

Quoted from Wickerman2:Shuttle just landed. I'd like to find one of those stainless speaker panels and figure out how to back light it. If anybody has any info...
you can pm goingincirclez and he'll let you know if they become available again
Quoted from goingincirclez:Just a quick update, and a long overdue one at that:
I received word from my dad a couple days ago that the planets were aligned such that unclaimed material AND machine time were both suddenly available to cut the panels. Yeah yeah yeah, I've heard flavors of that too many times... but today, he sent me a surprise shipping notification. Based on the weight, I'm guesstihoping I might have about a dozen NASA panels in a week or so. Fingers crossed!
If anyone is still interested after all this time.... don't start PMing me just yet... I don't want to make promises... but maybe cross your fingers too...!
woo hoo fingers crossed!
Quoted from iamdrunker:Hello all, So I switched on my newly completely cleaned machine and ran the test mode, Two switches need adjustment so that a piece of cake, speech test 1-6 seems to be fine than it hits # 7 and sounds like a scream? than goes back to #1 and starts over. The volume control does work on the speech board. Could all the speech ROMs be bad? seems unlikely. It looks like none of the ROMs from the speech board are working at all and only the scream from U49 at the CPU is working. Any thoughts?
Try another processing chip, the sound roms might be fine but the processor might be damaged not be able to produce all the sounds.
If you have an extra 6808 chip try swapping another in at U11 on the cpu right next to the 40 pin ribbon cable that attaches to the sound board. It's socketed so it's an easy check. Just make sure you orient the notch on the chip in the right direction.
