Hi Knxwledge
I refer to https://www.ipdb.org/files/2253/Williams_1976_Space_Mission_Instruction_Manual_Jan_1976_no_schematics.pdf page-24 (ori-22) - the Unit for to handle the swinging target stuff. See the JPG - I lifted, lifted, lifted the playfield to "vertical position". This Unit is an continuous stepper - mount the wipers as You can - then manually step, step, step --- do the wiper-fingers rest centered on the rivets ? Greetings Rolf

Hi Knxwledge
This Unit is an continuous stepper --- continuous stepper do only have ONE coil - stepping always forward (as Score-Drums are always only stepped forward). The manufacturers used housings / frames for continuous steppers and for resetting steppers (two coils) just because it was cheaper to only have one housing / frame to use. I will look into Your other topic - I may (if needed) try to take pictures of the other side of "Unit for to handle the swinging target stuff" - I guess "can be done by tomorrow". (((I wonder how the Extraball-Problem is related to the Swinging Target Unit))) Greetings Rolf
