Small update, I've done some work on the model to include the cracked glass.
Bottom wing had to go, to make room for the ball to pass underneath. I don't think this will be noticeable when mounted.

I have some LEDs and new materials in hand, so I will be checking the lighting effect in the coming days.

Can I be added?

I would like to be added if it's not too late. Thanks

Is it too late to jump in? The cracked cockpit won me over!

I wanted to share some updates about the design and where I am headed with this.

Design:
After getting the ship where I wanted it, a lot of time has been spent working on a mounting solution...
Since this will be mounted on a wire form, I wanted to make sure the mounting was functional beyond just being a mount.
I decided that I wanted to try and keep electronics out of the ship itself and instead I am mounting the LED on the mounting clip.
Goal is to make mounting and service of the mod easier.
The clip will most likely be black in the final version so it will blend into the playfield.

Materials and finish:
At this point, these will be 3d printed and professionally painted.
I do not trust myself to paint at the level of detail that I would feel comfortable selling... so I am working with a local professional to have them hand painted. First painted proto is pending

Electronics:
Electronics should be rather straight forward - current design as seen in the images will have one 3mm LED with a breathing effect circuit.
Current plan is for this to tie in to a spotlight for power.
The ship itself can be placed and removed without messing with any electronics.

Bonus: There is a good chance that this could be integrated with Stumblors spotlight mod.
With his mod, there will be one extra output that could be used to light this ship.
This would mean the ship lighting would be interactive.
stumblor please feel free to add more details.

Right now cost is looking to be ~$120 + shipping (subject to change + or - as things are finalized)

That's it for this update
I hope to share more in the next few weeks.

Looking really great @the-hum! Loving those renders. Maybe rounding off the edges of the support bracket might blend it in a bit more with the wireform that it's sitting on? Could always paint it the same colour also maybe.

Lantern mod integration - yep this will definitely be possible for anyone that wants to do it. The result being that the ship lighting could be upgraded to RGB, configurable over wifi, and triggerable by a game event (a ramp shot maybe).

Essentially it would involve removing the existing breathing effect LED in the bracket and replacing it with an RGB light connected to the Lantern mod. The RGB light would need to be quite small, in order to fit within the canopy of the ship - probably something like one of my postlight PCBs?

If the dimensions of those roughly look alright, and there would be enough space in the ship to house it, I'd be happy to offer those as an extra when purchasing the lanterns.

The-Hum: Is this what you are thinking for placement of the ship?

I think left side would be better placement. Right side already busy with other toys.

I'm particular about toys and shots being integrated. So both mine carts will be on the mine shot wireform chasing each other and the spacekook ship would be on the abandoned airfield wireform.
The left most wireform exiting the upper playfield I plan on putting the Scooby surfing away from Cutler Christmas ornament.

In terms of moving the mine carts to a single wireform, there was actually one random image from spooky with that configuration so I don't think I can claim it as my idea. Although I will probably pull them closer to the flippers to give the ship more room towards the top.

Wanted to share an image of the first proto with a quick paint job (missing some layers of primer and detailing)
I'll get a video of the ship lighting up a little later

Other updates:
Fitment in the machine is the main thing that is still pending.
(Good news: A local low number spooky customer agreed to let me test fitment in their machine)
Electronics are mostly sorted
Clip is updated to have a slightly more functional shape

We're going to run them in batches to keep things manageable.
I'll contact people in order from the list. We'll start work on the batch once all orders for that batch are confirmed.
You have plenty of time to get in on a later batch, But if we complete the list and only one person is looking to order, it will require some extra discussion.

I'll add you to the list, you're welcome to do what you please when your turn is up.

Looks Great! Add me to the list. Though we won’t have our machine for about a year. Possible to paint black on the inside of the sphere to give the shattered cockpit appearance? Great Work! Remember the pissers and moaners of your product don’t have the creativity to even try….

Quick update:

I checked fit in a local machine. Unfortunately it was just a touch too tall.
I'm now working on modifying the clip to bring the ship 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower and below the glass.

Will update after next fit test.

Add me to the list please.

Very curious to see how/where this should be placed in the game. Would love to see pics with it on the game once it reaches that point.

Thanks for your efforts!
