    Hello all,
I have a Space Jam that had some major corrosion on the CPU which required replacing the MPU/Power board. Since installing the board, everything works beautifully except for the R flipper. Here are a few things I have done to test the switch, EOS, coil etc.

    1. Jumped the L and R flipper switches. The R flipper button activated the L flipper only.

    2. Jumped the L and R flipper coils. The L flipper button activated both coils without any issue.

    3. Jumped directly from the R flipper switch to the MPU board directly. Still no response.

    4. In the switch DIAG menu, neither the L or R flipper switches show active when pressed, but all other switches activate and deactivate properly.

I am completely lost on what my next step needs to be. All boards were tested on a Terminator 3 prior to being sent back to me for installation in the Space Jam. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2 things to check: looking at the schematic there appears to be a 3-amp slow-blow fuse under the playfield for each flipper. The one you want to check will have a blue/yellow wire on one side and a red-yellow wire on the other. Pull the fuse out and test it for continuity with your meter.

It's also possibe that the female connector for the flippers at the CPU (CN6) could have gotten damaged by the battery leakage if it was that extensive. It couldn't hurt to re-pin that connector. (Though I think you may have ruled that out with test 3)

I have put new fuses on both flippers and tested continuity for it since changing the fuses. It's like the programming of the game doesn't know the R flipper switch exists.

In the switch test, neither L nor R flipper switches show up, but the L flipper works in game and the R flipper doesn't.
I have jumped from the L flipper coil to the R flipper coil which allowed the L flipper switch to activate both flippers.
I have also jumped the switches which allowed the R flipper button to activate the L flipper without any issue.

It's a brand new rottendog board, but the same SEGA driver board.

Thank you for your response. If anything else comes to mind, I am all ears.
