I have lost the GI on my Space Invaders. I recently repinned the MPU J1 (the displays wouldn't show even numbers, but repinning corrected that.) I changed the fuses on the rectifier board and repinned the J1 on the rectifier board but still nothing. Insert and backbox illumination are fine.

Any advice? Thanks.

Set your meter to 20VAC and measure rectifier J1 pin 1 to J1 pin 8.

Are the coin slot lights lit?

Coin slot lights are lit, yes.

That's good. That means the GI is there and is only missing from the playfield. Points to J1 on the rectifier, it appears.

Big ol necro bump. Check AC voltage at TP4, and fuse F5. If no work has been done to the game I would suggest repinning all connectors on rectifier board and changing those 2 fuse clips

It has a brand new power supply and a brand new mpu board. All the connectors repined at the power supply

Whats your voltage at the equivalent of TP4 from the original rectifier board? Its the only test point that you measure in AC, not sure if theyre labeled the same on your board

Oh ok. The problem is in this area somewhere. E8 should be grounded.
