Pinside,

I sold my SP to someone who is getting into the hobby. It's his first pin so he doesn't know much about fixing games. I was just wondering if anyone has videos or a photo walkthrough for the issue outlined below? I'm trying my best to help out but he's located in Jersey which is about 6 hour drive for me. any help is appreciated.

The ball lands on the chef switch but isn't recognized so it isn't kicked out until the game searches for the ball. Obviously its an issue with the switch.

If he goes into the test menu and can activate the switch by hand, then you know it's an issue with the switch arm being to low. If it doesn't register, he needs to see if any wires are broken off.

Here are a couple pictures of the switch. Hopefully this will be of some help for you. Most likely one of the wires can loose, mine did the same thing shortly after I bought mine.20151031_135243.jpg20151031_135243.jpg20151031_135342.jpg20151031_135342.jpg

Would you then just bend the switch arm slightly up?

Yes. Use needle nose and bend until ball will cause switch to activate
