I'm so ready for Fall. Grabbed the last 12 pack of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest at Total Wine today (hopefully more is coming!). Just need chili season to get here. Two more months......
Quoted from o-din:The fire was a little hot, but it was nice and rare on the inside just the way I like it.
I've got to either fix my grill or buy a new one. Leaning towards trying to snag a deal on a Weber. I haven't grilled a steak in 3 months
Quoted from simplykind:A few meals/snacks since last post... damn I'm getting hungry.
Me too!! Looks good.
I could probably use a new Weber too. Eventually. I got this one about the time my daughter was born. She's an adult now.
The 10 year old electric starter finally gave way and I had no lighter fluid. Next best thing is some of that 93 octane alcohol and rolled up pieces of the charcoal bag. Burns much cleaner than the old lighter fluid. But be careful when performing this operation.
I just noticed this pic Bdad.....well seasoned sizzle plates, baine-Marie pot, old school scale (gotta go digital buddy), aerator, stainless steel work surface, and stacks of plates underneath the table surface. This isn't your home kitchen......is it
Man this thread is torture for me, I just had all my upper teeth yanked last week, just now starting to eat again. Steak is only a couple of weeks away!

I've never owned one but want to see what it is like to own a grill that lasts longer than a year or 2 and doesn't have cold spots. I think they are introducing new models this fall, so hoping to see some decent deals on the current lineup soon.

The Weber Kettle fits the bill. I never noticed any "cold spots" The way it's lasted is after it cools down I always roll it into the garage and never leave it outside to face the weather. It is showing it's age but still cooks up a perfect steak or anything else.

I'm looking for a propane model. Wal-Mart was blowing out 2 burner Weber Spirits for $199 locally, but I missed it. Hoping a deal pops up on a 310 or ideally a 330.
The Weber kettle charcoal grill with a chimney starter is the only way I roll, I've had mine for over 10 years. It still looks brand new
Quoted from o-din:Don't know what to tell you on that. I don't do propane.
When I have a working grill I use the hell out of it, but I know I wouldn't if I had to mess with charcoal. I use an electric smoker too. I'm sure I'm probably trading some quality for ease of use, but that's OK. Nobody has complained about the finished product yet
Ate isnt the right word, more like choked it down and decided ro make something good tonight at work. Ham and avacado omelette with sour cream tonight!
Ahh...memories....I used to live right across the street from La Nova on 18th st.....now that I think about it...I wonder why they never had a pin in there....they always had the latest vid.....?...good times...........Joey
Awsome! I love my Traegar pellet grill!
I’m working on my pizza dough and cooking pizzas on my baking steel.
Tri-tips are a beautiful cut of meat many people don’t know about. I use a grilla... pellet grills rock!
Quoted from LTG:Thursday night I had a nice piece of beef. Rare yet very hot in the center. Topped with a mushroom cream sauce. It was delicious.

It's at work. I do the best I can.
Tonight was boneless pork chop. Yukon gold potato with a little Hamala salt and Kerrygold butter. On a paper plate.
At work I need easy to eat and clean up.
