I like the option to add a center post. Not everybody is a hardcore player. I wish this existed on DI with all those STDM balls .

Quoted from Time:Ewwww.
That actually been something I've been wanting to checkout. Need to talk to some people with modern LCD games. I noticed Huduni showed a bunch of bios boot text on cold start. Not a fan. I'm curious what the "pros" are all doing with regards to this. Its definitely not something I want in what I'd call a finished product. I never want anyone to see what's behind the curtain. Unless of course they come here and read about it.
A totally clean boot in under 5 seconds is my goal. I've been playing with hardware and Linux distros to see what combo might work.
Totally possible with powerful hardware such as an Intel NuC. My NuC i5 boots into MPF in roughly 5s and it still runs stock Lubuntu untuned. I also bought an up board (same as TNA) but that takes a bit longer (also untuned).
Quoted from jwilson:Generally you don't run it on the playfield because there's no room on modern games. Also it means you can go "over" things without having to make all kinds of twists and turns. Saves wiring.
Not as nice as the WMS version but this is an option:

We also use those ladders to space wires from the playfield and to prevent them from getting stuck in switches or mechs. We 3D printed those. Let me know if you need a stl model.
Quoted from SpaceGhost:Here's the rough bench test of the stepper motor for the spinning disc rig. P.S. I'm whispering because I'm at work.
Is that an I2C stepper controller? We could control that from MPF using I2C with the Trinket as USB-I2C bridge if you want. MPF already has some stepper control so this would not be that much work.
