Nice progress. Would wish I had access to a workshop like that!
Where is the metal plate for?

Industrial switchboard approach. Great Idea. I always like these cable channels. You can hide all the wires inside them and the system looks uncluttered.

That looks really 'rough"! It is possible the cleanest wiring I have seen in a pinball.

For your lights: it is not easier to pour some transparent epoxy in the 4mm holes working as light pipes. And use several larger area LED behind it to light them up in sections?

Very nice mitre corners. You make it look so easy!

    Nice mech!

    Quoted from jwilson:

That thing is amazing and all, but seems overly complex

If you 3d print parts, you can add all kinds of extra elements with low effort on the same piece. If you use folded steel that is not possible, or would need multiple parts to do the same function.
Also this is in plastic and not metal. You would need larger material thickness and more bracing to obtain the same strength.

I use these to route the cables over the playfield. They are very handy to use: you can open en close them if wires need changing. They have super strong glue on the back, so will not fall off.HTB1OBlcKVXXXXcSXXXXq6xXFXXXk (resized).jpgHTB1OBlcKVXXXXcSXXXXq6xXFXXXk (resized).jpg
