South Park
Sega, 1999I have had this South Park Machine for awhile now. The problem when Stan and/or Chef switch gets hit, the machine doesn’t read it. Instead, it sits for a few seconds, then it does its ball search without making progress on Stan and/or Chef.
Where should I be looking: Coils or is this a problem with the board itself?

The switches - do they work in test ? Broken wires there or at other switches along the way to the board in the head. Switch matrix in the manual can help with that.
If it's the stand up targets in black plastic bodies, they can die internally too.

The VuK uses this style switch try pressing it manually during switch test to see if it is working. You may have to tweak the lever arm up a bit so the ball makes contact. These always seem to be sketchy and half the time just end up replacing them.
