purchased the South Park profanity rom pack from Marco specialties, Installed them into my machine and now the machine won’t boot

Not sure if installed them wrong or the Roms are bad. Any ideas
I checked all the chips and made sure all the plugs are seated

Machine worked 100% before the swap

Did the notch on each chip line up with the white silk screened notch on the board ?

May have one backwards. Let’s see if that’s the issue

If you did. It is now bad.

Look at the same board at Pinwiki. The ROMS on that board have the notches at the bottom. It appears every other chip on your board in the photo you posted also has the notch at the bottom.

The Roms are bad or the board ?

#7 82 days ago

Yep, you installed all the ROMS upside down. See the notch on the upper edge of the ROMS? Also notice the notch on the chip above it is pointing down? This notch points to the end of the chip that has pin 1. Typically all chips on the board have pin 1 oriented in the same direction.

You can try installing them correctly but chances are they are blown.

You should be able to install your original ROMs and they will work (you don't typically damage the board installing ROMs backwards)

Just the ROMs.

Hi i can provide a new set for less. I am rompingirl on ebay but will do better on pricing direct. Also you do not want to use .90 cpu and display. They have many incomplete animations.
