Here are in lane repair parts pre trimmed[quoted image][quoted image]

Good work! Have you thought of making them - little narrower?

When you get to production quantity runs in color choices, please post these in the marketplace!

#602 5 years ago

Well I decided on this size because this is what it needed to be to cover the wear, ball rolls right over it no hesitation. Part is .040 thick tapered to sharp edge

#603 5 years ago

Those look awesome! My inlane damage looks about the same as yours, so this is a 100% purchase for me once ready.

#604 5 years ago

If anyone is wondering the angle of the inlane repair part is 3 degrees and a length of 5/8. It is very gradual. I very much doubt there any chance of airball or affected play. On southpark and most machines the ball can drop into inlane and it’s normally rolling pretty slow. When ball makes it to inlane also generally not moving that fast. But as we use the parts we can all watch and see results. Using the silicone is a non permanent repair adhesive and easy to remove if at some point someone wants to do some sort of wood repair later.

#605 5 years ago

As for first impressions: fit perfectly. Nice and snug. Was worried it wouldn’t come off easily but managed to pop it off without an issue. Color seems to be identical to the play field. Blends in well.

Sits right against the playfield. I was worried that there may be raised edges but it it perfectly against the playfueld. Seems to have no issues with a lip that might roll or block the ball (like a cliffy).

Even my girlfriend who isn’t into pinball as much as I am said she really liked it and commented if there was a lime green protector for our Attack From Mars, she would want me to take the cliffys out to install it.

Which speaking of, installation was a breeze. It took longer to remove the glass then it did to get it placed correctly. It took me 4 hours to install the full cliffy set for my attack from mars. I had to remove playfield parts and motors. Something like this could have a full install in under 10 minutes.

I’ll update this as I continue to play the machine. Only issues I see maybe occurring is a 1/1000 chance the ball rolls back or after thousands of hits, it starts to thin/wear down. (Although how about those MBr protectors bending after 200 plays)

The part is nylon. It can’t and won’t wear, believe me. Same material as Tupperware.

#607 5 years ago

Cartman hole looks great! i need one of those as well as the inlanes! Looking forward to seeing the Kenny hole when that is ready!

#608 5 years ago

The feed back is all good. The part fits into machines that don’t have any wear and that was what I needed to hear. I’ve got lane covers and cartman parts ready to go.
Cartman hole part also works on Star Wars trilogy with a little handy work. We will make some black one for that.

#609 5 years ago

Not much to show, but figured I would post a photo of how the protector looks from the underside.

I am looking for the toilet paper decal that goes in front of the toilet on the red switch. If anyone has it, or a full decal set, please let me know.

How much are they shipped for the Cartman hole?

Count me in for 2 lane protectors and a cartman protector. Let me know the cost

#612 5 years ago

Thinking $25 for the set of 3 or $20 for the cartman part. They are ready to go. Dang post office keeps raising postage. Going to get some padded envelopes so we don’t have to do flat rate box, hope is cheaper that way

#613 5 years ago

How do I go about ordering a set?

#614 5 years ago

so shipping in a padded envelope is around $1 same envelope priority is $8 so i can include shipping the cheap way, fair to add $7 if someone wants priority but i dont think theres a need. anything gets lost i can send another. we are creating a web site for this and some other molded pin parts i make.
for now pm me for pay pal

#615 5 years ago

Here another handy part I’ve made for years. Shooter rod housing protector. Covers and art damage caused from the shooter housing and\or prevents damage on new art. We have many colors

A little exacto knife action required by end user with the lane covers.
I leave the center section so the parts don’t warp in cooling. Also the gate
Remnant need trimmed off. Like when we were kids building models!

Any chance you would ever attempt to remake the toilet?

#618 5 years ago

we can look into it, ive been involved in the shadow of many parts and pins projects in the past.
all orders to date have shipped! bringing some life back into those beat up southparks. mine looks so much better with that cartman hole covered up, no more wood in the drains.

#619 5 years ago

Here is a repair I did a while back on my SP. couple people have asked about it.
I don’t have a before pic but in front of that Kenny hole was a huge C shaped chunk
Of wood that was gone. Every time the ball hit it more wood fell down.
So I used metal filler paste to rebuild the wood area then got some .010-.012
Stainless steel shim stock. It comes in a size like a sheet of paper. Then I cut a strip long enough to wrap it all the way around the wood to under pf and it actually overlaps a little.
The metal opto bracket under that area holds it in place. Bam done.
Took me 2 or 3 tries to get the metal just rite. A cliffy would cover the front of that before the ball jumps the gap but I have not got one yet.
Notice to proto type hanky ramp?

I did a quick search of this thread and saw 1 person has a PinStadium setup. Does anyone else have it? I have my SP next to my TSPP and its SO DARK compared to TSPP. I really want to make it pop. Is it a pain to lift the PF with PinStadium installed? it sounds like I would need to remove it anytime I need to lift the PF.

#621 5 years ago

Mine is tight, but I have the older, thicker pinstadium magnet strips. With the thinner strips you shouldn't have any trouble at all lifting the playfield.

I also highly suggest the pingraffix art blades for this one. Combined, they really make this game pop.

#622 5 years ago

I actually just read the installation documents on their site and they say to remove it for the version you have when lifting.

I really want to get the blades as well. They will go great with my green star posts with the white rubbers on the left ramp

If you're looking for the side art you can find them at Tilt Graphics Inc.

Oh yeah! Those are the ones. Couldn't quite remember. Such a good job on them. I couldn't imagine my South Park without them now.

#625 5 years ago

I'm in the club!!! picked up a very nice, clean example. Will post pics after I go through it a bit....just bought a set of the tilt art blades....perfect for this game!!! First post I saw when I found the thread...this should be fun!!!!

#626 5 years ago

Thinking about selling my SP. Shoot me a PM if you’re interested.

#627 5 years ago

Perfect! Love it. Now we just need a Kenny one!

Thanks Pinpimp!

Does anyone have a "Promo-Code" for Retro Refurbs? I'm trying to get new caabinet decals and side blades for my South Park and any discount would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There are three targets under the toilet. The one on the left (one of the skinny ones) broke. The machine isn't in front of me, it's on location, but I'm not certain what part I need even after looking through the manual, and at the options on Marco's site.

Is it this one? https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/545-6138-04

I posted this in another thread but it might be of interest to some of you. I made design files to have the large and small plastics around kenny laser cut. Here's how they came out after I added the artwork. I also did the kenny ramp plastic because I wanted the Mr. Hankey version.

All of the design files and artwork I used can be found here:

Has anyone bought a Pinsound card for their South Park? I'm wondering how easy it is to install custom sounds. Being able to put Isaac Hayes chef songs in for the modes would be awesome I think. Also, the real "Kyle's Mom" song for Cartman mode would be awesome.

#634 5 years ago

Does anyone know where to get these for the flipper button area?

Ok, so LED or LCD ColorDmd for this machine? I'm going to pick one up at TPF but can't decide from what I've seen on the internet.

If the higher price is not a bother to you, I would suggest the LCD ColorDMD. With that one you would have the option of having it look like an LED if you wanted to, or have the high resolution look. With LED, you're pretty much locked with that look. $30 difference between the two, so...

Pinsound is very easy to mix yourself. The pinsound studio supports various audio formats to master the gain levels etc. Easiest thing to do is download a known mix and then replace their files with the ones you want to play instead. If you put multiple files in the same folder/callout, it will choose one of them at random so you can mix it up even more.

Greetings all,

Just got my South Park pin after 7 years of searching for the perfect opportunity.

My sound roms are not working properly and play the wrong sounds or cut off during play, even in the diagnostic.

Looking through the manuals and bulletin's, i notice that on the cpu/sound board that area W6 requires a jumper for 8mb sound rom use.
What i cannot find is what the jumper needs to be; small resistor or just simply a jumper wire.
I've ordered new sound roms, 8mb chips so need to figure this out before they arrive.

Documentation states that when jumper applied its compatible with 4mb or 8mb chips so I should be able to do it now and still play with messed up sound.

Anyone performed this yet?

#643 5 years ago

if one of the roms is not installed correctly it will be scratchy and missing sounds, make sure all your roms are installed correctly . if you need a new set i can burn you a set for below ebay prices, including profanity sound roms.

I pulled one of the chips that failed during the diagnostic, didn't play completely. Set it back into the socket and tried again, same issue.
Not sure if a new set will help but can't hurt to try.

Ill message you. I'm looking for the latest arcade set, which appear to be on 8mb chips, but I need to know what the manuals mean by add a jumper to W6.

Is it simply a jumper wire or does it require a resistor or some other part to change the board from 4mb to 8mb?
Figured it would be handy to have the info here as none of my searches over the last month have turned up anything about jumper for W6 on the cpu/sound board.

I’ve decided to do a mini tear down of my machine. One question I have is, are these inlane forms supposed to be like raw metal or should they be polished? Pictures are below. Also, is the volcano Mylar? It looks like it’s the image, but there is Mylar all over my machine.

Also sharing what I did to hide some of the broken plastics.

All of my metal guides are rough and not polished. The volcano insert should be flush with the playfield, it looks like yours may have come loose or raised at one point.

In an attempt to keep the large plastic next to Kenny from breaking again I made a support for it. That's just too much plastic to be mounted on three small pressure points.

I also finished up my first attempt at a 3d printed toilet. A few measurements are off but it came out well for try one.

Man your new plastic looks awesome! The toilet looks pretty good too!

Is the insert for the volcano something I can replace without damaging the Pf? It doesn’t look like it.

I am re-posting here since nobody replied under the general forum.

Did South Park come with a Shaker Motor option?
I have several open terminals in my cabinet and can't figure out what these connections are for.
If it did not come with a shaker, has anyone successfully added one?
I'm thinking about triggering with any of the 3 solenoids that move Kenny.
Thanks!
