Is the art for the LEs and Pro based on a specific era of art or artists work on the comic?

If so, what time frame or artist? I'm looking to get some comics or collected comics related to the art and the stories that cover the characters in the pin.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Most of it looks like Jim Lee from the early 90's. The girls (Storm, Phoenix, Mystique, Emma Frost) appear to be newer and I don't know the source.

Yea in the video they said they decided to go with Jim Lee for the art. But the girls do appear to be newer as treborlicec points out. Not sure on that though.

Those all look like Jim Lee to me. Look at the 1991 series (X-Men, no adjectives)-the Magneto on the LE BG is straight off the cover to issue #1.

Where's Akumazeto!? He knows all this stuff....he sent me a link to the original drawing that was used for that Magneto...it's not Jim Lee but it is official Marvel art.

I am here. Just watching. I lurk more these days. That magneto is pulled from the Anime Xmen credits. Which by the way guys is a good story and worth watching.

Neat thread. Good to see these picture comparison posts.

I'm guessing that X-men #1 from Jim Lee, while not the source artwork for the LE backglass, was likely an inspiration for the playfield sculpture. What do you guys think?
