Checkpoint
Data East, 1991So I went to help a guy who seemed to have problems with a DE Checkpoint.
After fixing the booting issue, I realized he had the soundtrack of a Batman.
Indeed, the sound eproms read "Batman".
So I've collected the eproms and I'm now trying to upload the good roms on them, but I can't figure out which is which... 
I'm supposed to have U7, U17 and U21.
And in the pack I found, I have :
f5, f6 and f7 for sounds, apparently.
Anyone know which goes where?
Given the information in this post, I'd assume that the numbers increase monotonically.
Try...
F5 - U7
F6 - U17
F7 - U21
If that doesn't work, reverse the order.

The ROMs that you have, U7, U17, and U21, are for a WhiteStar MPU board and NOT a Data East sound board.
The WhiteStar sound ROMs are U7, U17, U21, and then U36, U37.

ChrisHibler , I got those on IPDB obviously.
I don't know if there's a different pack for DE soundboards...
If you have a Checkpoint, they are for a DE soundboard. Those will be the only files on IPDB as that is the only hardware for Checkpoint.
The board locations are marked 5, 6 and 7 on the silkscreen which you can see in the picture above.
