Cant figure it out, when game boots up sound is fine and working then after a few minutes (1-3 sometimes less) the sound will be a continuous tone of whatever the sound that it was playing at the time (think a record skipping) Ive reseated roms and connections. When I power down the machine and restart the machine, the sound is fine again until...

wash
rinse
repeat

any ideas for troubleshooting are greatly appreciated.

the 5v stays on the entire time.
there is lot of speaker crackle when i jiggle the wire going to the power display.
