Quoted from chuckwurt:

Just went and saw a sopranos I’m getting it! So want to do preventative stuff since this things basically brand new:
Plastic protector for the plastic in the shooter lane (does this exist?)
Metal shooter wall protector
Anything to protect the strippers?
How about the safe?
Thanks!

Congrats!!! Sopranos is a great game but you already knew that. I don't believe there is a protector for the side shooter lane, mine was broken and I fixed it with some clear plastic.

The strippers do not seem to take a beating during play. I've just put mine out on route and I'll advise if anything changes. I did have to glue my girls back together after the ultrasonic split them in half.

Regarding the safe, I replaced the main mounting bracket with the tiny spot welds on it. This is the part that eventually fails but I'm still surprised how well this toy holds up. I have some denting on the front part of the safe, but it does not seem to get worse. Also replaced the nyliner sleeves on the posts in the safe for smoother hits. The biggest improvement to me was putting new switches and diodes on the two switches behind the safe that register hits. After replacing the switches it plays like a new game. Great flow game and very decent set of rules.

Stack them multiballs and rank up fast!! Enjoy!!!

Let me know if you need some part numbers for anything.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Never updated the code on a game this old. I’m seeing eproms online for with the 5.0 code on them. Do I just need the game chip? Or do I need to have 5.0 code on all the eprom chips that are in the game?

I have check the code version on my sopranos when I get a chance, I had no idea it had an update!
